I have been running Vertex products for a while now and have had nothing but good things to say about their stuff. Bike feels fresh again and the added compression seems to have given it a little more bark. Awesome stuff as expected from Vertex

I bought stock piston with rings ,wrist pins for 80.00
so far so good, could feel the power difference. I ride a 2006 ktm 250 sxf. the only problem I had was with the cam chain tightener. if you are reinstalling one of them make sure you follow instructions on line.. you can do some real damage to your bike if its in wrong. there is a set of steps to follow to preload the spring before instillation. Good luck
This piston kit restored the power and compression and was a breeze to install
This vertex piston made it easy. I got the kit and everything was there a, tolerances we right on, and it was clean. I would use this anytime.
I ride a crf 450r.
One season with this top end and so far so good. Still hits hard!
I have talked to many people who have paid big bucks for a tricked out piston, only to find it unbalanced the motor, or alters the power too radically. These pistons have developed a good reputation as reliable pistons, close to OEM specs.
got this piston for my crf250 and planned on it only lasting me a few hours 40 hours later on it still running strong and showing no sign of wear. plus it was super easy to install and anyone with some mechanical knowledge can do it. Highly recommend vertex!

Question:Q: Stock bore and stock bore compression13:5:1Question asked 2 years 11 months agoThe 2008 yz250f was stock with 13:5:1 compression so what is the difference between the stock bore and stock bore with compression13:5:1
Question answered by jbam19User's contributor status: Top 100 ContributorQuestion answered 2 years 11 months agoAnswer: A: Double check the drop down options, Vertex offers 2 pistons for the 2008 yz250f that we carry the stock bore which is 13.5:1 and a higher 13.9:1 compression piston. If you are seeing stock bore and a second 13.5:1 not the 13.9:1 just give us a call and we will gladly get you all set up with the piston you are looking for.

Question:Q: 2012 Honda CRF250R Compression question?Question asked Over 4 years agoWhile I was on Vertex's website looking at all the different piston options, they only sell 13.2:1, 14.1:1 & 14.6:1 compression ratio pistons for the stock bore size. My question is your website says its 13.6:1 for the high compression piston when Vertex don't even make one currently. So is it a typo error?
Question answered by MotoSportExpertUser's contributor status: MotoSport Staff ExpertQuestion answered Over 4 years agoAnswer: A: Yes for your 2012 Honda CRF250R the High Compression Piston Kit (23561B) would be 14.1:1 compression ratio.
