Great way to keep a kx450f cool

I have a 2016 kx450f that runs hot during the summer in Las Vegas. I was in search of a better option other than a higher bar radiator cap and different coolant that wasn't doing the job so I tried this fan setup. This is perfect I mounted this to the left radiator and wired the positive to the positive wire on the condenser (orange wire). Then ran the ground to the frame right behind the condenser. I mounted the digital readout to the frame on the left side below the tank. The only thing i had to modify was the temp prob as it wouldn't fit into the fins on the radiator, but a quick grind with a dremel and it fit nice a snug. I have mine setup to come on at 160 degrees and even riding it hard in the dunes my boil over problem is gone. I would recommend this to anyone that does slow technical trail riding or riding in hot climates.

Good add on

Really like this fan, but the temp. blade was very hard to push into the radiator. Harder than other trailtech blades I have installed in the past. Other than that, works really well.

Awesome set up!

This fan works wonderfully!
Easy install and works great!
Somewhat of a pain to find a place to mount the digital read out but otherwise perfect.

A: With enough ingenuity and determination, mostly anything can be done. This would be something you would need to do research on to see if it is worth attempting to. However it is not a fit for your bike as-is.
