Great Computer

This is a great computer for the price. They hold up great over time and use. I would recommend spending a few extra bucks and buying the metal carrier frame.(that mounts to the handle bar mounts) Set up is easy and it's provided with good directions.

Design, Quality, Battery, Temp Guage, Clock

It works good and has the ability to do everything you want. Setting up the speed sensors is hard because of the way they make it so I don't have that on mine but the temp, battery and time are all really nice to have when your out on a ride. Especially if you dont have a kickstart on your bike. I'm gonna probably buy one of these for my crf450r also.

Answer: Yes you will have to hook it up to some sort of power source. Either directly to the battery, or by tapping into an existing fuse protected component like the lights, ignition, CDI or power leads from the stator depending on your application. The power sources are covered in the install instructions and are pretty easy and straight forward.

Answer: I would recommend following the manufactures instructions -

Striker kits include handlebar mounting hardware, or add an aluminum dashboard accessory. Use the model specific instructions to install Striker's sensors to the vehicle and customize Striker for wheel size and thresholds for the voltage over / under warning lights. Striker can operate on regulated AC or 12V DC electrical systems, so it works on almost anything with a wheel.
