Supersprox and chain kit.

Only been running it for 2 weeks now but so far so good. The supersprox rear gear looks even better in real life. Wanted to weigh it against stock metal sprocket but was nice that day and couldn't wait ;)

Great product, great quality wish it came in black

The 47t sprocket only came in gold, wish it came in black, other than that I'm very happy with the quality, fit, finish, and performance. Hope they last a while. Got 9500mi out of my stock set, hope to get that out of these.

Great style and durability

I installed this kit before a 10 day riding trip We rode everything from highway to black diamond single track. We rode well over a thousand miles and the sprockets still look brand new and I have not needed to adjust the chain yet.

Answer: This brand has no options we carry to gear the bike up. You will have to choose a different kit with options to gear up such as the Sunstar Steel Sprocket Kit:

Question: I have a drz400sm but with a 470 big bore kit, mostly ran on the street id say about 85% street 15% offroad. What would you recommend for a chain?

Question answered 1 year 6 months ago
Answer: I would go with any sealed chain, O-ring or X-ring and you will be good to go. Most sealed chain at the pitch you need have very similar tensile strengths. But you will need to stay with a more Dirt style chain. Street bike chains are typically wider which you won't be able to run on your bike.

Question: Chains?
Question asked Over 4 years ago
what is the difference between the dz2 chain & the ertz chain? Are these O ring or x chains. ride coal & dirt with a lot of hill climbs. Thanks, Hal
Question answered by MotoSportExpert

Question answered Over 4 years ago
Answer: The DZ2 and the ERT2 are both standard non o-ring chains.

D.I.D 520 ERT2 Gold Chain - 120 Links:

The D.I.D ERT2 chain is the most trusted chain in Supercross and motocross racing because of its reputation of meeting the high quality demands that are required when pushing the limits. It was designed with the intention of making a chain that is optimized for the purpose of racing. D.I.D beefed up the ERT2 chain by increasing the pin size by 3% to give the chain an average tensile strength of 8,100 pounds. Increasing the strength of the ERT2 chain did not come with a sacrifice of weight, in fact DID was able to shed 5% from the previous ERT chain.

Exclusively designed for motorcycle racing.
High-performance, lightweight and low friction chain.
3% bigger pin diameter and 5% lighter than former ERT.
Provides the highest wear resistance, tensile strength and impact resistance.
Average tensile strength of 8,100 pounds.
Wear life index: 430.
Rated for up to a 450cc motocross bike.
Weight (per 100 links): 2.99 pounds.
Includes a clip-style master link.
120 links.
Notes: ERT and ERT2 Connecting Links are not interchangeable. Non-sealed chains require more regular maintenance than sealed (O-ring, X-ring) versions and are mainly recommended for off-road use.

D.I.D 520 DZ2 Chain - 120 Links:

The All New D.I.D 520DZ2 is the best value in a lightweight, high-performance chain designed for motocross racing.

Great value in a lightweight chain.
Designed for off-road riding and motocross.
The DZ2 has twice the lifespan of the previous DZ.
SDH pin treatment - hard chromium-carbide layer formed on pin surface for exceptional strength and wear resistance.
Flexible inner soft core absorbs shock.
For entry level motocross, trial riding at an affordable price.
Average tensile strength of 7,870 pounds.
Wear life index: 410.
Rated for up to a 450cc motocross bike.
Weight (per 100 links): 3.08 pounds.
Includes a clip-style master link.
Gold finish, 120 links.
Notes: DZ and DZ2 Connecting Links are not interchangeable. Non-sealed chains require more regular maintenance than sealed (O-ring, X-ring) versions and are mainly recommended for off-road use.

Question: Sprocket and chain life
Question asked Over 4 years ago
So these are supposed to last a long time. So if they outlast your chain and you need a new chain but the sprockets are ok what do you do because arnt you always supposed to change them all together or they won't fit correctly and destroy eachother
Question answered by MotoSportExpert

Question answered Over 4 years ago
Answer: If your chain wears out and your sprockets are not showing signs of wear and are still in good condition you can replace the chain only. If a new chain is fitted with old, worn sprockets or vise versa that will cause the rapid wear. Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

Question asked by Kelson

Question: Sprocket tooth ratio
Question asked Over 4 years ago
I am considering going up a 1 tooth on my front sprocket to make my gears longer. Do I have to compensate on my rear as well and chain?
Question answered by MotoSportExpert
User's contributor status: MotoSport Staff Expert
Question answered Over 4 years ago
Answer: Going up in the front and/or down in the rear will give you more top speed. Down in the front and up in the back will add more bottom. You can add a tooth in the front without making changes to the rear sprocket and generally there will be enough chain adjustment at the rear wheel to compensate for the larger sprocket but you will need to check. If you decide to go with a kit (sprockets and chain) the chain will come in bulk length 120 links. Once you have installed your new sprockets you will then install your chain and cut to fit.
Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.
