Great products, great price. It can be difficult finding parts for my 94 cab 1000, but this kit was the perfect fit and allowed me to get the one tooth bigger sprocket for the front.

The sprockets are good quality and fit perfect but the chain was too long and I had to cut a good foot out of the chain to make it for properly
Bought the Sunstar chain and sprocket combo with upgraded gold chain to replace the overstretched chain that was on my 5th Gen VFR800. 3 stars on ease of installation due to the need to use a grinder to bring chain down to size and chain tools for the master link, nothing unexpected, just a job not for those who do not have the appropriate tools. Everything bolted up correctly and could tell an enormous improvement in shifting during my shakedown! Adjusted chain after a few days and seems to be holding very well. Haven't rode hundreds of miles yet, but feel confident this set should hold up well.
Only complaint is the holes in the rear sprocket have some under spray and I would have painted myself if I had the paint, the weight relief holes are still a plus over the solid stock sprocket thou. Otherwise the hollow rivets master link expanded very well with my simple Harbor Freight chain tool in combo with my parts unlimited press tool.
Great value set!
Best chains are did-had used did zvm2, twice. It should last at least 20k,if you lube every 200 to300 miles, I use pj 1 blue.Very little stretch, also check your adjustment, align and slack. This time ,I purchase did zvmx. Parts arrive in 2 days. Hayabusa 2001
Purchased this kit 1 year ago with the Sunstar 530 RDG Dualguard chain for my SV1000. Chose the Sunstar chain for two reasons: price, and the fact that is is silver. I don't like "bling" so I don't want a gold one.
Got about 11,000 miles on this so far and all is well. Sprockets are lasting great, since they are steel there is very little noticeable wear. Chain is in great shape, no noticeable stretch and no stiff links. Tension has stayed consistent, I only have to re-adjust it at tire changes now.
I use Maxima chain wax exclusively on this chain, have cleaned it only twice and lube every few hundred miles using the Plizmoto Spray Shield. I do ride in the rain a lot and am impressed with how clean it stays. I'm convinced the secret to getting a long life out of the chain and sprockets is to keep it clean above keeping it lubed, and it seems to be working great so far.
Came faster than I told and Product is solid
After putting this set on, I took it for a ride and let me tell you, it was so smooth, what a difference it made.

Question:Q: Could this be used to convert VF750C & VF750CD into a higher top speed & lower fuel cost in town ?Question asked 1 year 1 month ago
Question answered by PaulUser's contributor status: Top 1Question answered 1 year 1 month agoAnswer: A: In order to provide accurate answers, we would need to know the model year of your Honda VF750C.
The original sprockets on the 2003 Honda Magna VF750C are 16-tooth in front and 40-tooth at the rear. You can increase your top-end speed by changing to a larger front sprocket, or a smaller rear sprocket, or both.
It is important to know that the changes to improve your top-speed and horsepower will reduce your torque and require that you drag the clutch lever out more slowly when taking off from a stop.

Question:Q: I have a 95 cbr 600 f3. I just bought it and it has this same sprocket on the rear Also it looks like it has 44 teeth instead of 43 would this be to increase torque? Also I get my choice of chain but that's at additional cost? Want a did for the higher tqQuestion asked 1 year 5 months ago
Question answered by DaveGearheadUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered 1 year 5 months agoAnswer: A: Yes. The 44T sprocket would slightly increase the torque of the bike. As a rule of thumb, I would suggest purchasing the highest quality chain as you can afford. This would ensure you have the strongest chain that you can afford.

Question:Q: Im try to lower my rpm but gain some power to, Now my stock number is 15t and 48 at 530 pitch. what sizes should i use to get what im looking for?Question asked Over 3 years ago
Question answered by MotoSportExpertUser's contributor status: MotoSport Staff ExpertQuestion answered Over 3 years agoAnswer: A: By going up teeth on the front sprocket and/or down on the rear sprocket you will gain top end (lowering your RPM). If you want more bottom end you would want to go the opposite, up in the back and down in the front. you can't really get both out of the gearing alone. I would gear it up for more top speed and look at doing performance modifications such as exhaust and air filter for added power. Question:Q: Hello, I just ordered this kit with the gold chain but when my order was processed; it said that the chain is gold and black. What do they mean?Question asked Over 6 years agoIs the chain all gold? I have Marchesini rims, so will that rear sprocket fit it?
Question answered by MotoSportExpertUser's contributor status: MotoSport StaffQuestion answered Over 6 years agoAnswer: A: The gold/black chains have gold outer plates with back inner links. These chains appear mostly gold due to the outer plates being gold. Unfortunately this kit will not work with the Marchesini wheels. The Marchesini wheels require a specific sprocket. We do offer Vortex sprockets specific for the Marchesini wheels.
