I wish I had ordered clear instead. The smoked tinting is too dark when wearing sunglasses and too dark at night.

When I first mounted the Viper windshield on my Yamaha Virago it was obvious that the designer had not taken that bike into consideration. I did finally get it mounted and a test ride around the neighborhood led me to believe it would work well. My first ride at highway speeds with gusting winds proved me wrong and when the windshield shifted it scratched a corner so I can't return it. I have come to the conclusion that it is too much windshield for a two point mounting system and so I need to figure out a way to add bottom mounts. Very disappointing!
I just road tested my new Slipstream S-10 Viper windshield and it does a great job of doing what it's supposed to do. Installation was not a simple task, however. Due to the location of the speedometer and tachometer on my Virago, the windshield would have been much easier to mount if the 'rods' were a good three inches longer. Another complication was due to the mounting hardware being for one inch handlebars and the 'included' rubber spacers for my 7/8 inch bars made moving the mounts far more difficult. It took me half a day to 'get it right' but I am very pleased with the results. If longer rods ever become available I'll definitely order a set from MotoSport. The shipping process was, as always, impeccable.
