Bought this battery about 3 months ago and it worked great at the beginning. The quad has been sitting for about a month now in a heated garage on a battery tender and I went to start it and the battery is junk. Would never buy again.

So far seems to be a good battery but havnt had it very long. Im hoping it will pay for itself by lasting longer than a lead acid replacement.

Can’t go wrong with this battery
Fires right up
This battery I was hoping would be better than others. Although I do love its design and ease of use with it’s sold separately charger. However, I must have gotten a bad one as it won’t keep a charge very long especially in temps below 50 F and even the charger on store doesn’t help much. The one I got is very average. Money for nothing much more than before.
Only used it a few times in the last 3 mos...that's just it, no charging, used infrequently, & strong like bull. Awesome so far.
I bought this to replace the gel battery for my CRF250X. It's half the weight and nearly twice the CCAs. The additional CCAs really show, even when it's only 30 degrees F. Only had it for a month, so I can't speak to it's longevity.
I bought thus a week ago and it is super light! It fit nicely and has super starting power for my 2005 Yamaha R1! Way better than lead acid!
I replaced my original battery on my 2008 CRF 230F with the Shorai battery. It is so much lighter than the original and with the variety of foam packing pieces it fits perfectly. Bike fired right up!!!
I have a ZX-10R and wanted some nice rims to dress it up a bit. I located some OZ Racing GASS RS-A Forged Aluminum wheels at Motosport which I thought were reasonably priced. I spoke with them about 2 times (1 by e-mail & 1 by phone) to ask questions regarding several items. At all times they were knowledgeable, professional, & answered all of my questions very politely. I bought front & rear wheels that were shipped quickly - when I saw them I was delighted at their appearance & low weight. They are on my bike now & I am very happy at how they look. With the Motosport cash bucks I received from this purchase, along with some of my cash, I was able to buy a Shorai LFX lithium battery. The battery was very light weight, easy to install, and has many desirable characteristics ( very slow discharge rate, 2 mounting positions on the poles & so forth). My experience when purchasing both products could not have been better. I most certainly will consider Motosport for any future products I need!
Great battery, super light and powerful.

Question:Q: I have a 2018 Kawasaki KLX 250. Would this battery make sense on my bike? I'm not mechanically inclined. But it seems this is being put in larger CC bikes. Will it cause any issues power wise in mine? Like too much power I guess? Thanks in advance!Question asked 1 year 6 months ago
Question answered by PaulUser's contributor status: Top 1Question answered 1 year 6 months agoAnswer: A: The Shorai LFX Lithium-Iron Battery LFX14L2-BS12 is a perfect upgrade over the original YTX7L-BS on your 2018 KLX250. The Shorai LFX14L2-BS12 is lighter and more powerful than your stock battery.
There's no such thing as "too much power".

Question:Q: Would a battery tender jr be ok to us on this battery or do you need the shorai chargerQuestion asked Over 4 years ago
Question answered by MotoSportExpertUser's contributor status: MotoSport Staff ExpertQuestion answered Over 4 years agoAnswer: A: LFX batteries are NOT for use with a battery charger / tender that has an automatic "desulfation mode" which cannot be disabled. Shorai has consulted with Deltran, manufacturer of the "Battery Tender" brand, and has confirmed their products do NOT have a desulfation mode, and therefore are OK for use with Shorai's LFX Lithium-Iron Batteries. The most suitable charger / tender for Shorai's LFX Lithium-Iron Batteries is the Shorai LFX Lithium-Iron Battery Charger / Maintainer (SHO-BMS01), which is sold separately. See Shorai's website or included instructions for more information about charging procedures and for more detailed warranty information.

Question:Q: How much better is this compared to a stock OEM ? I've had my 2014 yfz450r 6 months and the battery died on me just a few days agoQuestion asked Over 5 years agoI'm looking for a good aftermarket battery
Question answered by MotoSportExpertUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered Over 5 years agoAnswer: A: The biggest advantage of the Shorai LFX Lithium-Iron Battery is the weight savings over stock! Most will have a higher CCA rating only than stock.
Question answered by flynfordUser's contributor status:Question answered Over 5 years agoAnswer: A: Yes, I had the same problem on my TRX450ER. Dead cells that just flop over from one ride to the next although I have my battery tender on it in between. Went with Shorai and never looked back. I have been phasing out my batteries on all my powersports toys with Shorai.

Question:Q: Is there anyway I can fit this battery on my 2009 kx250fQuestion asked Over 6 years ago
Question answered by MotoSportExpertUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered Over 6 years agoAnswer: A: The Kawasaki KX250F motocross bike does not have a battery stock on the bike. With enough fabrication you could make this work on any machine. Depending on what you are trying to do with the bike, there may be better products for you.
