They Stick like glue.Ridding 43 years

Over 700 miles on them. They are badazz.Had my original 4700 mi Harley tires on my 06 Harley 1200 i just bought. They were very slippery being old.Huge difference with the fresh Shinkos. This is my second set too.Had 06 883 and they were great on that bike too.

Not great

I put this on my 2007 Ultra. Didn't even get 4500 miles out of them. I don't ride rough or aggressive. I won't be buying them again.

Shinko Tires

I've been through several sets of Shinko 230 Tour Master tires and like them. They wear well and the grip is good in wet or dry. Ride is also smooth and they track well. I'm an older rider and slower than I used to be so I can't speak of the grip for very spirited rides but they are not intended to be sport tires. These tires are an excellent value.

Excellent Tire.

Very glad I bought these tires. They grip the road excellent and handle great on tar snakes. Definitely will buy these again.

A: The first number in the tire size is the width of the tire. In tire sizes, they are referring to the size by mm(millimeter), so the difference between these two particular tire sizes is a total of 20mm. This is actually a considerable difference in the tire world, you will want to check to see if you have the right clearance with your swing arm and rear brake.

A: Not all of these sizes are bias ply, they are 4-ply and aramid belted to handle heavier bikes

A: I would recommend staying with the stock (OEM) tire size of a 120x90-17 front and 170x80-15 rear. Unfortunately that front tire size is not available in the Shinko 230 Tour Master tire. If you could give us a call at 888-676-8853 we would be happy to help you find a tire combo for your bike.

Q: 2003 Honda VTX1300S calls for 140/80-17. Will a 150/80-17 work since it looks like the 140/80-17 is not available?

A: While the 140/80-17 is the correct sized spec tire for the bike, plenty of riders have used the 150/80-17 in its place on the VTX1300S models.
