Sena SMH10 Bluetooth Headset and Intercom

I bought a Bell helmet that has a compartment and speaker pockets specifically made for this exact device. I bought the Sena smh10 wanting to eliminate the plug in ear phones I seem to keep breaking while taking my old helmet off or having one ear plug fall out when turning my head to look for traffic. This system is GREAT. Aside from the lack of bass out of the speakers (which a bass app takes care of), the system is great. I just tap the side of my helmet to answer phone calls which the caller has no idea I'm on my riding my gixxer. The motor noise and wind are completely muted to the caller while they hear me perfectly. I have yet to communicate with other riders but would guess the same quality and results apply. Am very happy with my whole set-up and recommend to anyone looking for a quality comms system.

Love this unit had it for 5 years now.

The mic is great when talking. It's also great to use for voice texting. The music from my phone and my bmw garmin gps sync great and work well together. My only gripe was that after the 4th year the battery would only hold a charge for 30 to 45 minutes. When I had it new 8 hours was average. I wonder does the company sell just the main unit without having to purchase the mic and speakers. Mine still work like new. So I need the rotary unit only. If anyone has any information on that please feel free to pass along the info. I'm definitely looking for that unit.

High quality

High quality mounting system. Easy installation. Disappointed in the lack of bass and volume during music play. Clicks and sounds from your smartphone will pierce your eardrums during max volume.

Solid Headset

This headset is great! My bike is kind of loud, but i can hear music great through the speakers, and the mic pics up my voice without picking up the wind or the bike noise at all. Battery life seems great as well. Overall a solid headset.

Best helmet accessory I've ever purchased

Fantastic device, seamless connection with my iphone. User freindly interface, simple and easy to use. The call function is incredible, crisp voice connection and the person on the other end has no idea you're on a bike. Your friends will freak when you tell them you're talking to them from the saddle.
Only complaint is that the music play function doesn't go loud enough for my tastes

MUST have for your Qualifier DLX

I installed this unit on my Bell Qualifier DLX helmet. You MUST have the extra clamp for the Mag-9 that lets it fit in the pre formed spot for the unit. That allows it to sit flush and has one screw that securely holds it in place. Once you have that its a simple 1,2,3 extra easy installation. The bluetooth is loud and clear and people can hear you very well. It pairs easily with my phone and plays my pandora music through the headset.
It's an easy clean install with professional looks. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a great Bluetooth to add to any helmet.
