Two tabs that allow you to mount to frame had to be tweaked / bent out to allow it to go outside frame mounts. Once mounted material bunches a little in middle. Had SDG before and was happy with. Not so much this time.

Perfect fit for my xr 400. No modifications needed.
Bought the seat for an 04 CR 250 two-stroke and the front of the seat rode up about an inch higher on the gas tank then the oem seat. Not a great look. Sent it back.
I’ve had the seat for about a month now and I really like it compared to stock. It take a ride or two to break in but that’s just it getting more comfortable than it already is. Only bad thing is the seat base snapped in half last week when one of my friends looped it.. I’m still riding on it though and it’s fine for now. Good seat for the price and it did bolted on perfectly to my 06 yz125!
I just bought this for my '01 CR 250, to replace the one I've had on there for the last ~15ish years, and I couldn't get it to fit. It was as if the rear seat brackets were mounted just a little too far forward. I read on TT (after I returned it) that the seat bolt brackets may have been backwards. I'm bummed, because it is an awesome seat, that holds up to serious abuse, especially for the money. Even more worth it, because it's plug, and play. I took one star, because this one didn't fit, but the other 4 are for the one that I still have.
I was surprise that this dirtbike Seat fit perfect and it was very comfortable
The seat looks great, has awesome grip and is comfortable. Definitely not a drop in fit for '07 YZ250F. Holes in the seat bracket dont even come close to allow the mounting screws to be inserted. I used a larger pipe wrench to bend the subframe seat mounting brackets in (maybe 15-20 degrees?) to match the angle of the brackets on the seat, thus allowing for correct alignment. Really didnt need to be moved too much and the plastics still sit as they should. So if you dont mind making this minor mod, its a great investment for an older bike.

Question answered by MotoSportExpertUser's contributor status: Expert MotoSport StaffQuestion answered Over 4 years agoAnswer: A: The SDG seats are a pretty firm seat. It would depend on the model of machine you were comparing it to but for most I would say it is equal to stock or slightly firmer.
