I’m very pleased with the switch to 520. I would have bought a colored chain but I thought the “gold” would be a little more gold to add a nice accent. It’s not. If you care what it looks like don’t buy the gold chain for the color. I did a lot of research and this chain is definitely worth it.

RK's chains are standard equipment on many marque's machines and it is easy to see why given the quality of those OEM parts. The GBGXW Series Chain is a step up from most of these with a higher strength rating, better corrosion protection and a more stylish appearance. Installing the chain is like installing any chain - a chain tool is required - and it went as expected. Though the chain has only been through a few thousand miles, it does still look new and functions very well. Only more use will tell if it is long-term durable, though.
For now, I can say that I would buy it again - and probably will - and I highly recommend it to anyone with a performance street bike looking to replace an aging driveline.
Everything about this chain is as advertised. It is well-made and as easy to install as any rivet master link would be, provided you have a good tool for this. So far it is perfect, but only time in grade will reveal its ultimate durability.
I got this for my 2004 Kawasaki zx636. I also replaced both sprockets. The gold chain looks really good against the black sprocket. I haven't had any problems with it. Chain comes covered in wax. Comes with a rivet master link. I didn't have the proper tools, so installation was a pain, but thats my fault. : p
Good buy, im happy.
I ride a cbr 1000rr, the outfit is great
the rear sprocket and gold chain looks good on the bike. noticed a differance the first ride after installation. i did the 14/46 combo which was only 1 tooth down in the front. did change my speedo by about 5 mph but thats no big deal since i was more in it for the performance.
This chain is very sleek and stylish. The chain came with a lot of excess oil and wax. The gold looks great and the chain much lighter.

Question:Q: I have an 09 zx6r can this chain work for me?Question asked Over 4 years ago
Question answered by MotoSportExpertUser's contributor status: Expert MotoSport StaffQuestion answered Over 4 years agoAnswer: A: Yes. The 520 120 link will work on your 2009 Kawasaki ZX6R. Depending on what gearing you are going with will determine the length of chain. Generally you will need to cut it down a few links.

Question:Q: I have an 05 gsxr 600..can this chain be used with stock 16/45 gearing?Question asked Over 10 years ago
Question answered by DrewKlannUser's contributor status: Expert MotoSport StaffQuestion answered Over 10 years agoAnswer: A: No, this chain will not work with that bike. It's going to be too small of a chain. You will either need a 525 or a 530 chain.. You need to verify what size you are running right now before you purchase another one to be on the safe side though.
