Works as expected, easy install, clear instuctions, makes a 450f motocross bike manageable to ride in the woods
I just love the feel of this clutch! I tossed the Radius X into my 2011 kx250f today and wow! Amazing just how easy it was and how much of a better rider I am instantly! I'm an older rider at 45 and just love how forgiving it made my 4 stroke feel. I was having trouble at low speeds and hill climbs. I already feel like I'll be putting one on every single bike I have from now on. I also have some arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome from work so this is like a dream come true. Made the bike very comfortable and easy to ride at lower speeds. Power still seems perfect... love it!
Had a terrible issue in tight woods with flame outs. There is not a flywheel weight option for my bike. This kit fixed the issue and has made the bike seem smoother on the bottom end. Be sure to pay attention to the different spring sets, as this will help with launch and engine braking in steep down hill sections. I haven't had it long enough yet to see how durable it is.
Bought this for my 2017 Yamaha YZ250X, this model replaces just the inner parts of your clutch. It uses thinner friction and pressure plates to make room for the centrifugal clutch plate, and installation is easier since you don't remove the clutch basket on the RadiusX. I installed this myself without any trouble in about 3 hours. It makes tight woods trails (I ride in Mississippi) and long downhills much easier to ride since I hardly ever have to use the clutch. It does make your drive line feel a bit mushy off of idle at times, but I am happy with it overall.
So I have been looking at rekluse for a while now and it is 5 years too late to have one but glad I did. Coming from 2 strokes, the biggest disadvantage to riding modern 4 strokes is that they flame out and stall easy. So braking was an issue and technical riding can be frustrating as the bike will sometimes flame out. This fixes both problems while reducing clutch slip and removing the clutch dependence from your riding. Although I would say you should not get one if you can not ride well with the clutch, I do think that it is not difficult to learn with some persistence. Only have around 20 hours on the clutch so far so I am not posting about durability but does as advertised, works very well and fixes the stalling problem in four strokes which have cost me so many races and sometimes money that to me it is worth it.
This new clutch rocks, the install was fairly easy.
