Very solid mount

The spacing of the mounting holes fit perfectly where the mirror mounts on a 5th gen VFR800. Really handy if you want to run a camera and don't use the stock mirrors.

Holds solidly

When attached to the RAM Mount Holder, the Diamond Base with Ball provides a rock solid attachment to the Socket Arm and ultimately the bike. The rubber covered ball does not allow the sagging or movement of the Holder when the Socket Arm is tightened. I was concerned that I would be constantly readjusting the Holder of my Garmin, but even on some bumpy roads, it remained in the same position. Very pleased.

Q: How is this ball mounted to the base? Can it be removed from it, if necessary for my application?

A: The ball it designed to stay with the base. But It can be removed if needed.

A: THis would not directly mount up anywhere on your 2006 Suzuki GSXR750. You would likely also want to get the RAM Mounts Handlebar Mount to allow you to use a RAM device holder mounted to your handlebar.
