This would be a good product if they had incorporated a way to keep the pegs from loosening. I was afraid this might be an issue when I purchased them, but hoped there was some sort of locking mechanism not pictured. The bolts simply tighten easily until metal hits metal and they stop. Putting weight on them, along with the bike's vibration, causes them to easily "break loose." This is both dangerous and extremely annoying. I bought longer bolts and lock-washers, which I had to grind down to a smaller diameter so they would fit in the recessed area. This helps, but it does not totally solve the issue. They should have been fabricated with grooves or something to eliminate having a smooth metal surface against another smooth metal surface. Like I said, I could tell before I purchased them that this was likely to be an issue. If this problem was fixed, I think they would be an excellent product, though still too expensive in my opinion. I'm planning to use them as they are and keep tightening them until I'm sure I like them. If I decide to keep them on, I'll try using locktite on the bolts, but that should have been a precautionary measure--not an absolute necessity (if it even works).
