Good value for the money

I don’t write enough to invest in synthetic oil which I do not believe my motorcycle was intentionally designed for such. Plus I like to stay with factory recommended oil

Q: Would this be the correct oil for a 1978 GL1000? I think the manual specifies SE oil

A: Yes, this SJ oil work fine for your bike. The oil has better sheer-resistance, viscosity stability (Think of an oil half-life - its very good). The SE is reference to an obsolete API service classification for oils and is not permitted in any vehicles built after 1979.

A: This oil is perfect for your 1978 GL 1000. The SE specification has been superseded and the newer SJ spec will work very well for you. I do an oil change every other week using GN4. It's great stuff.

A: The conditions the engine will be running in determine the oil that should be used. 20W50 is what I run and generally recommend.

The GN4 is the engine side oil only. The Honda HP transmission oil is what you run on the transmission side
