      Outstanding Tires

First ride out and I loved them. I do 50/50 offroad/onroad and these are the best. Rides like a street tire on the road, very smooth. And just enough grip on the beaten trail. Does great on gravel roads too. Durability is a 10 as well, hit so many big rocks that almost sent me to the ground and the tires held up great with no rashes or chunks missing.

Answer: None of our tires are shown as an "exact fit" for any bike.
The original tires on the 1996 Honda XR400R were 80/100-21 in front, and 110/100-18 in the rear. The Pirelli Scorpion MT90AT Tire Combo is not available in these specific sizes however they are available in sizes which are close enough to fit onto your rims.
The Pirelli Scorpion MT90AT Tire Combo is intended for heavier dual-sport and adventure bikes from 600cc to 1300cc, and are stiffer and heavier than necessary for the XR400R.
We have many other dual-sport tires which would be better suited to your XR400R.

Question: What is the best PSI to run when riding 60% street and 40% off road ? Thanks.

Question answered 1 year 8 months ago
Answer: There is no absolute answer to what PSI you should be running on these tires. The correct PSI would be based on terrain, weight of the bike, weight of the rider, possible passenger or gear, and speed. It would be best to consult with the manufacturer of the tires and your service manual once you determine all of the aforementioned calculations to determine optimum PSI for you.
