I am sure this is a good product for places were sand and big dirt particles are a problem, but if you are like me and ride dusty trails with very fine dust save your money. Yes I imagine that it did help a little. I have a 03 Kawasaki kfx 400, and for it too be placed correctly I had to remove the entire air box. Not to much of a problem but a little annoying every time I went to clean the filter

I did not realize the air box had to be completely removed to install this.
So modified my lid and trimmed it a little and made it work.
Installs fairly easy if you remove the airbox like the instructions tell you to. I also wound up cutting the brackets off where the top would clamp on so that I could get a tighter fit. They recommend you to be careful removing it from the velcro or it will rip and I believe them, it's not super strong. In fact, it looks pretty cheap. But it seems to help keep dust out, possibly, I usually wind up with mud in it so it's tough to tell.
Only used on one ride so far. Went through some muddy parts and was a really dusty day. Afterwards, air box was just as clean as before.
Says it would fit my stock Yamaha Banshee airbox. Did NOT fit at all. Was a waste of money. I would return it but I had already thrown away the packaging.
I put this on my 2008 400ex, and All i have to say is i would recommend this to all my friends, even though a good bit of people on here say they had problems with velcrow and durablity, i had no problems at all! It doesn't even restrict air flow at all!

Question answered by MotoSportGrantKUser's contributor status: MotoSport StaffQuestion answered Over 5 years agoAnswer: A: For stock Banshee, Raptor and Warrior airboxes, you must have an aftermarket kit that clamps filter in place. Otherwise the air box lid is necessary to hold the filter in place. The image is a generic image supplied by the manufacturer for reference only.
