LighTech Adjustable Rearsets

LighTech Adjustable Rearsets

Andy B - New Jersey BEAUTIFUL and Solid! "Put these on my track bike 2014 ZX10R ABS. They are absolutely beautiful to look at. And the machining is amazing. Very tight tolerances and no a hint of flex anywhere. The pegs are very "sticky" with the aggressive knurling. I used to be able to lighten my foot a little and slide it around to a new spot on the stock pegs. Now, wherever your foot touches the peg is where it is going to stay, unless you lift it up and physically move it. The rear brake master cylinder is located on the bracket in the same spot as stock so you don't have any issues with the brake line into the top of the cylinder being too short. I searched high and low for a set of controls that would work for my bike due to this. A lot of people ask questions I the reviews about whether there is any flex in the pegs. ZERO flex!! LighTech has a great mounting system for the pegs. They mount to a base that slides in a track which offers many different mounting positions. The base is very solid in the track and once you tighten the single screw that holds the base in the track, the pegs are very solid. But all the bolt does is stop the whole unit from moving in the track. The base itself is what gives the peg such a firm attachment. The machining is amazing. The pegs are about 3/4"-1" shorter than stock in terms of where the end of the peg is when mounted. I took a lot of measurements of the stock pegs and the LighTech ones using a plumb bob and some tape on the garage floor before I commited to getting them dirty. I would guess that you can get close to the stock location, with most of the rest of the adjustability being higher and further rear. I am very happy with these controls. I will warn you, you simply get a schematic with the kit, no instructions. But if you take your time and use the picture of the parts, you can get the controls mounted. This was my first aftermarket/race foot controls, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I only knew that I needed more ground clearance to get my big feet off the ground in a turn. One other note, I figured I would devise some type of return spring for the brake side but I never did. Once they are on the bike, the pivot bearings are so smooth, the lever returns itself. No dragging rear brake at all! Lastly, they come with the hardware to go standard shift OR GP! A nice bonus."
