Beemer - The moutains Fun! "I specifically purchased the dual 30k for off-road dirt bike riding in tight Colorado forest single track trails. My biggest concern was whether the range would be far enough to use for these purposes. In short, yes they work great when it's just me and the wife riding. When it's just us we stay close enough together that we can generally "chat" the entire time. It's great to not have to look back to determine if the back rider is still there, or to communicate some turns in the trail, or to just discuss our feelings ;) However, when we ride with more people, we tend to get a little more separated if someone, or multiple people are between us then we lose the connection. The tighter the forest, the shorter the range. In some of the tight sections, the range seems to be only 100-200 feet. When it opens up the range gets better. I realize these were designed more for on-ride or even adventure riding which would get a much farther range if on a highway or dirt road, and decided to take a risk anyway. I'm glad I purchased, just wish the range was a little farther."

Patrick - Georgia Worth it "I've had these for years and recently got one for my son so we could ride and talk. Picks up your voice nicely and clear voice comms. However.... the range isn't even close to as advertised. The farthest we have had with clear comm within line of sight no obstructions is a little over 100 yards. After that is starts to crackle and about 200 yards it breaks up."
