Better than OEM

This spark plug socket works exactly as intended. No modification needed. Shipping was quick and the package was in good condition.

It's very solid, not like the cheap OEM one. It has the option for a 3/8 drive ratchet, 13/16" wrench or a screwdriver if needed.

the socket gripped the spark plug well and didn't fall out.

Socket Too Long to Use on My Dirt Bike

I was ecstatic to find that there was a special tool for removing the spark plug of my 2001 Honda XR400R! Much to my chagrin I found the tool, an extended spark plug socket with thin walls, much too long. It wasn't much of a task to get the plug socket down into the cylinder head and seated onto the spark plug, but once the spark plug had cleared the threads and ready for removal I could not get the socket and the spark plug out of the cylinder head. There just wasn't enough clearance. I ended up grinding a half inch off of the end of the socket and buffed off the rough edges. I certainly didn't expect to take two hours to remove the spark plug or modifying a tool that was supposedly designed to remove the spark plug from my XR400R!

Socket Is Too Long

I was attempting to replace the spark plug on a 2001 Honda XR400R. I didn't have much of a problem getting this socket down into the cylinder head and seated onto the spark plug so I proceeded to unscrew the spark plug. After fully unscrewing the plug and attempting to remove both the socket and the spark plug for thirty minutes I gave up going this route. So, I screwed the plug back into the head, removed the socket, and cut 1/2" off the end of the socket (18mm end of the socket). Worked like a champ but buyer beware....modifications might be necessary.

Third time is a charm!

This was the third wrench I had purchased to change the spark plug in my son's 400EX. It worked like a charm. Crazy design on the 400EX though. Worth the money.

Answer: I don't know the length offhand, but this should work for your application. The socket is slim for the full length, specifically to fit down in a cylinder head.
