Digger

Bought this for riding in loose dirt with my KTM 450 sx-f. Close to unstoppable when climbing shale hills now. You can feel those heavy lugs ripping and tearing. Loving it now; we'll see how it wears / chunks.

Grip and rip!!!

I love these tires. The hook up great. Bite in the turns and rip on the exits. Plus, they look super mean, which is always a nice touch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Great Tires! Thanks PulpMx/Keefer inc.

I’ve been a Dunlop guy for the past 19 years but after trying out a set of the Michelin Starcross 5 tire’s I’m hooked! The tires are so impressive I even bought a set for a friends bike.
Easy mounting!

Great tire for florida

I bought this tire as it sounded like a good soft dirt tire for florida tracks and trails. I was correct. This tire has excellent trackability. At Pax Trax in Bunnel fl this tire is perfect. It tracks well and it holding up well too. I will be Getting another.

Easy install

Two rides so far, very good traction rear and front has a lot more bite vs stock tires. 2017 kx450 georgia clay/florida sand.

Great for what it’s made for

Hooks up well in soft material. Doesn’t
Chunk to bad but wears a little faster than I
thought it would

Poor durability

This tire hooked up well but after only 2 rides in soft terrain about half of the side knobs chunked off. Not impressed.

Durable and solid

I’ve used this tire in virtually all conditions including snow. At the end of the day this tire can handle abuse in a variety of temperatures without losing a lug. It shines in mud and works well in sand. I would recommend this tire for anyone doing enduro style riding.

Q: Michelin sizing
1 year 7 months ago
After doing some research I've read that michelins sizing is somewhat different than competitors, as in an 80/100-21 Michelin would be slightly different than the same size of another brand. Is this true?

Q: What is the difference between the medium and soft? Which one last longer and which one has more traction?

A: The Michelin Starcross 5 is available in hard, medium, soft and sand versions. The soft compound is designed and will handle better in the soft, muddy conditions. Mud-Phobic Bars between the central blocks on the MICHELIN StarCross 5 Soft rear maximize the cleaning capability and improve lateral grip in softer terrain. The Medium compound is going to track better and last longer in the intermediate terrain.
MICHELIN StarCross 5 Medium and Soft versions are more versatile and effective in a wider range of terrains and conditions compared to the previous range.
