This is the lightest and easiest tire I have ever changed. Great flex and traction as well as life span.

installed on KX 450 rode in in sand and clay hooks in the turns and has a feel of good traction going up jumps.
Put it on my ‘78 IT 175 for vintage Hare Scrambles. Worked great!
Love the Starcross5s. I’ve tried every brand different patterns from each except goldetyre and shinko on the rear. This tire hooks up the best. I usually go soft because soft is good for med and hard pack as well and wasn’t worried much about longevity, the soft is holding up great. Have about 5 good rides, 2 on pretty hard pack and I’d say stil 97%. This time I decided to go medium because I am going to be riding more hard pack. As you can see from pic. SC5 on the bike and SC5 in waiting. I also went from a 110 to a 120. I ride hare scrambles/Enduros, single track, etc.
I had a flat tire today on the rear and as I was changing it I thought, "this tire looks really worn out." The main knobbies still have plenty of life in them but the side ones are cracking out. I do a lot of pasture and gravel riding. I was really disappointed because a good tire will keep the cactus from reaching the tube. I just bought these tires! Turns out it has been 2 years and after a little figuring I have probably put 2,000 miles on them. GOOD TIRE!
I bought these tires and went on a slippery trail ride in Washougal. These things hook up i was able to climb hills when others were not.
I run them on all my bikes. I bought a new bike but did not feel confident in the turns till I replaced the tires with star 5
Great tire, hooks up like crazy. Catching wheelies in 4th gear when my Dunlop would break loose. In corners can lay into my bike where the foot peg is almost scraping. Will buy starcross 5 again
