Awesome tire

I’ve been running these tires for the last few years, no complaints. Get good life on the tread, good grip in wet conditions. I ride a 2000 fxdx

So far so good

After LOTS of research on line, the general consensus was that these tires are the best option for an HD Road Glide. Having only put a couple hundred miles on her because of weather, I am very pleased with the feel and handling of these tires. HD can keep their Dunlops.

Commander ll tires well worth it.

Bought 3 years ago for 99 honda 1100 shadow spirit. I have just over 20,000 miles on them according to the odometer. Great wear even riding 2 up for a good 17,000 of them miles. Great in rain, dry, hot and cold. Have had on the top side of fuel economy. Even hold well in high winds. I would recommend these for everyone. The fact that they look good too is a bonus.

About to order another set

I put the Commander II's on my 2012 Dyna Switchback. The factory Dunlop rear lasted 6,200 miles, the Commander II lasted 15,000 miles. I replaced the factory front at 6,200 miles due to sidewall cracking. The Commander II front has 17,000 right now and could probably go at least 2,000 more. To be fair to the factory Dunlops, the rear had a little better traction than the Michelin, especially when worn. The front tires seemed equal. For me, the longevity of the Michelins far outweigh the slightly reduced rear traction.

Another great deal

Rides like a different bike after installing these. I use nothing but Michlin on all my autos forever so no surprise they are good tires. Corners like you are on rails now. Fast shipping didn't hurt either..

Put a rear tire on a few thousand miles ago, no complaints. I will be putting a front on soon and will be going with the commander 2 as well. Great tire

A: Going from a 140/75 to a 170/80 is a big difference, you will need to measure your fender and swingarm to see if you can accommodate a tire that is 30mm (1.2 inches) wider and 5mm (0.2 inches) taller.

I'm needing 130/70R18 is it a radial or Bias? One site I looked at had radials but not in my size, this site doesn't specify if it's an R or a B. Can someone please help, thanks for your time.

A: That would depend on the size of tire selected. The load rating will vary depending on the tire. For more information and tire specs (load ratings) for the MICHELIN Commander II can be found here: http://motorcycle.michelinman.com/tires/michelin-commander-ii#dim
Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

A: For clearance and handling we recommend that you run the stock size tires. From what I can find your 1981 FXWG came stock with a MT90-16 (130/90).

A: The Front Tire size for your bike in this combo would be a 130/90-16. The Rear Tire size would be a 140/90-16 but you may be able to go up to a 150/80-16 if you have enough clearance around your drive belt and swingarm area to fit a wider tire.
