Installed this on my vstar 250. What a difference! Even sounds better. I always use k&n and always will. Great products
Bought this for a 2007 cbr 600rr and the mount they sent for it doesn’t fit into my stock air box. I’m sure it’s a great air filter just for some reason didn’t fit in my bike.
I was working on customers Honda Trx400ex
.He had bought used and never realized that was no stock foam left on cage. The K&N filter was a great option with open airbox!
Use KN in everything. Never disappointed in the job they do.
If you're doing ANY performance mod to your bike. You have to have this filter.
I have a Yamaha FZ6R and, along with a PCV and exhaust, made a day-night difference in performance and the way the bike runs.
Super easy to install (once you get past the tank, but that isn't the filter's fault).
Was such a pain to install, was not an easy fit at all.
I have always put a K & N Air clean on all of my motorcycles , nice quality , i also installed slip ons and a PCV , have not put new map in yet , so just a modest performance gain so far , Much better than stock air cleaner! My bike is a 2012 Vstrom 1000 , you must remove the tank to install , loosen up everything plastic around top of tank , disconnect 1 electric connection, fuel line (has a clip ..push in on both sides to slide off),and a vent hose , kind of a pain, i foolishly has a full tank of gas which made it harder
The first time I experienced K&N was on my highly modified 1,000 cc 1980 Honda 750F. They where the 4 ea. individual cone shaped model fitted to a set of Mikuni 29mm Smooth bore carbs.
As with all of my vehicles, only made sense to install a K&N in my 2016 KTM 1290 Super Duke R Special Edition.
Almost 30 years later, quantum shift from analog to digital, what hasn't is K&N's commitment to quality, fit and performance. I will continue to equip all of my internal combustion engine'd cars and bikes with K&N.
I use K&N filters wherever possible. The Filter for my Kawasaki Concours 14 requires K&N "sealing" grease that does NOT come with the filter. For the $90+ I spent you would think it would come with the filter. I had to spend another $14 and wait for its arrival. Not pleased. ( I ordered another filter (elsewhere) for my son's Concours 14 and it came with a tube of the grease at a lesser cost . ) What's the deal ?
