What Our Gearhead Experts Are Saying:

"I took the Mistral 40F Sleeping Bag on a few car camping trips this past summer and it punched well above its price point for three-season comfort. The spacious footbox is something I genuinely appreciated after long days on the trail, and the comfort hood seals in warmth without feeling restrictive when you're trying to get comfortable."

The campfire is down to coals, the stars are out, and the only thing standing between you and a great night's sleep is your sleeping bag. The Kelty Mistral 40F Sleeping Bag handles that part without drama, delivering the warmth, comfort, and packability that matter most on a camping trip without asking you to spend big to get there.

CloudLoft synthetic insulation fills an offset quilt construction that eliminates cold spots, so warmth stays consistent across the whole bag rather than concentrating in some areas and disappearing in others. The comfort hood keeps heat locked in around your head, where you lose it fastest, and the natural-fit footbox gives your feet room to move rather than pinning them into a narrow taper. Draft-locked zippers seal out evening chill, and the whole bag stuffs into the included sack when it's time to break camp and move on.
