What Our Gearhead Experts Are Saying:

"The Discovery Trail 3 is what I point people to when they want a reliable three-person tent without overcomplicating the decision. The Quick Corner system and pre-attached guylines make setup genuinely fast, which matters more than people think after a long day on trail. The tub floor and coated fly keep things dry, the mesh canopy moves enough air to keep condensation manageable, and the vestibule gives you somewhere to dump wet gear before bed. Solid tent for the price."

The last thing anyone wants at the end of a long day on trail is a tent that fights back. Kelty's Discovery Trail 3 Tent goes up fast Quick Corner sleeves and pre-attached guylines take most of the guesswork out of setup, so the campfire gets more of the evening than the instructions do.

Inside, 45 square feet of floor space gives three people enough room to sleep without stacking on top of each other, and the 48.5-inch peak height means sitting up straight is actually an option. The tub floor and 1200mm-coated fly keep rain where it belongs, and the no-see-um mesh canopy keeps airflow moving without inviting bugs in. A single vestibule handles wet gear and muddy boots, and internal mesh pockets keep headlamps and phones from disappearing into the corners overnight.
