Only review you will ever need to decide.

Hi ladies and gentlemen! I am Yogesh from India and I am an avid motorcyclist.
Let me first inform you that I am writing this review after 5 years of its usage and just before shopping for new ones.Yeah you read it right! No typo there.

In fact this isnt a review at all. Just wanted to let you all know that the boots I bought have more than outlived their expected lifespan! I had them on in almost all of my major rides! Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Bhutan, Spiti, Rann of Kutch. They were submitted to harshest possible circumstances in all the rides and have never let me down.

They waded perfectly through all the water crossings in Ladakh (first ride June-July2013), Spiti Valley penultimate ride July 2017 ) and the salt desert of Kutch (final ride Jan 2017)! They saved me from a fall while on the Ride to Bhutan (Nov 2014) and also survived an oil vomit by older Bullet during the return ride from Arunachal (Nov 2015)! In these five years, I just replaced the laces once and got the sole restitched from a local cobbler!

The good thing I loved about the boots is that they can be used for normal walking off the saddle without any problem! The rubber sole provides great traction for the rider even off the saddle! The strap system is almost failureproof! The built quality is solid with metal reinforcements in the toe and ankles. The toe also has an anti-skid patch for the gear shifter.

So if you are a rider looking for no-nonsense riding boots and value safety more than looks, (justifies the 3 stars for the style) look no further.

Bad quality

I had the previous version of the Big Bang boots and they lasted for 8 years before the plastic broke down. This version is not good. The finger loop on the back of one of the boots already broke and the plastic buckle on the other boot doesn't stay latched. The laces are a giant pain to pull tight. I don't see these lasting for 8 years. They seem much less durable and poorly made. The only reason they will last for 8 years is I will probably get something else instead and they will sit somewhere. It's a shame because the previous version was very well made with metal buckles that latched securely, good eyelets that let the laces get tight and a finger loop that didn't break in 6 rides. A big dissapointment.

You get what you pay for

One of the buckles wouldn't stay latched. Flimsy buckles won't last
