I bought this a little while ago after a wreck to protect my bike if I go down again. It fits great and is super comfortable, but the Velcro on the side constantly comes undone when riding. If it had stronger Velcro it would be a 5 start review, but it coming undone while riding is quite annoying and makes me question if it would even stay on in a wreck.

I got this for the warmer weather. I love it.
This is exactly what I needed for riding in Hotlanta during the summer! Paired with a set of elbow/forearm guards, it provides the protection I need, while feeling like I'm riding in a t-shirt, I love it!
I just got into a bike wreck. hit gravel and sand on the road slid off into the grass. Hitting my Icon AIRMADA helmet off of the curb it cracked the helmet down the middle but kept my face protected with just a busted lip and minor concussion, also having my vest, icon gloves and boots on i broke no bones but the vest shredded just a little from sliding on the pavement and rocks but all in all icons gear protected me 100% as for the bike it needs cosmetic work.. I wont buy anything but icon after this accident i very much believe it saved my life.
Order a bigger size. fits very snug
It is comfortable, stylish and provides a greater sense of security for the rider.
My brother and I each wore this at one point or another. I never had to test it. He did, and it didn't do so well.
The accident that took him from us probably would have taken him regardless, but the areas this was designed to protect failed. It was a mid-to-low speed (>25mph) crush incident between two cars. He had multiple rib and thoracic spinal injuries from the impact.
I would say this, in conjunction with other protective gear, can only add to the level of protection you're looking for. If you're stunting, or want something to wear under a lightly armored jacket, or are in an area where if you go down you won't hit much but the ground, then this is probably ok. But don't think for a minute this will save you when severe impact is involved.
I ride regularly in urban 45-55mph traffic. With this under my jacket, it's comfortable. Since I'm at regular risk for collision with inattentive cagers, this is cheap insurance to complement headsup riding. Fits perfectly.
Laid my bike down at The Dragon in TN only 2 days after receiving the vest in the mail. I was doing about 70-80 in a turn and the vest did a great great job protecting my back. Accident gave me really bad road rash on my left arm, but I understood that risk when I purchased the vest. I would recommend the vest to anyone but the vest should probably be worn under a jacket. Great look, durability, and fit. Really conforms to your body. I'm 5'11" 165 lbs and ordered a L/XL
I icon makes great product, fit is great and looks great.
