I bought this a month ago to do a 2200 mile solo ride with. It performed great in the colder weather , but even w the liner removed it was still very hot but breathes very well. It’s definitely larger than I imagined, also there are these rubber zippers on the front, gator lock I believe it’s called. They are absolute trash, The rubber zipper broke after the first day, I opened it maybe 3 times . Other than that, I was very happy how the jacket performed in the rain and wind. It will keep you dry, but I suggest bringing a lighter jacket if your going to be doing a lot of riding . I didn’t have the room for one, I rode from Noryhern mn to south Az and the jacket did great all the way until the 90degree weather then it was a bit much.

I have not worn this jacket on the road or off-road yet, but I've tried it on a few times. I ordered a size smaller than what I typically wear based on reviews stating the jacket (and pants, which I also bought) run bigger. I'm happy with the sizing. I will probably wear very lean layers during cold weather and expect the jacket to fit nicely either over a t-shirt or over winter underwear plus a turtleneck. I dislike baggy clothing that can hook on the handlebars, footpegs, or any luggage I'm carrying, so this looks like a great solution. I will wear it for dual sporting and sport touring and anticipate no issues. I wasn't sure of the color scheme "Glory," but it's grown on me. At least it's the lightest and will make for greater safety day and night.
I also bought a Euro-brand of jacket and pants and had to return them, as they were - although well made and impressive in features as well - cut very tight and short. Although the Euro set was priced higher in retail value, I judge the Icons to be a far greater value and of comparable quality.
This thing at the clearance price absolutely rocks, its actually worth the origina l price of $400.00. Loaded with well thought of features.
Purchased this jacket to extend the riding season into the colder months in Maine, and so that I wasn't so detered by wet weather in the summer. Kept me warm down to 32°F with comfortable layering. The front zipper let some cold air in, even with the fancy flap, but it seemed to seal better with speed.
I also purchased the pants that go with the jacket, and even though they can be "assembled", I prefer to wear them as seperates and to use the suspenders that came with the pants.
Just because the price is great, doesn’t mean this isn’t a $400 jacket at its heart. Waterproof, ventilation, tons of storage, integrated D3O molecular armor.
Grab this jacket while you can. ICON restyled this jacket in the following iteration for a bit more toned-down styling, so you can get these for cheap.
I’m 5’ 10” at 155lbs and the medium jacket fits with comfortable room to spare for a full layer underneath. You might prefer a size down if you want it really snug. Removable liner is a nice feature for warmer riding though it can be a little tedious to put back in, so you’re not going to be swapping it in and out all the time.
Road in Baja in the rain, and stayed dry and warm last winter also really good crash pads, one of the best jackets i have,AAA
I bought this for my son’s birthday.....he says it’s kick as, bombdiggity!
Firstly, order one size smaller than what is recommended. These do run big. Other than that this jacket keeps me dry in the rain, warm with the vest and cool with the zippers open. It's a baggy fit so I would not recommend for sport bikes, however for sport touring/ADV this is perfect. Highly recommend!
I'll simply say this is an outstanding jacket in every way. The only minor weakness is that it is really a three-season jacket. When the temps get above 80 degrees it's just a little too warm. But for all other seasons it's simply outstanding. Great styling, features, quality, and protection.
I purchased this jacket for an inclement weather and 3 season dual sport riding. So far, I have only used it in winter ice bike riding and have been very impressed with the performance. With temperatures ranging from 8 F to 40 F I was comfortable with only a tshirt under the liner. I am not a fan of the built in monkey paws. I wear an all sport dynamics wrist brace and the monkey paws are not conducive to wearing one.
I opened up the vents and they worked well to cool me off in single digit temps, but I am interested to see how well this works in warmer weather.
I am a fan of the D3O armor. I have it in my other garments, and that was good to know this jacket included it.
There are plenty of pockets. I like how the left chest pocket pulls through liner so you can still access it.
Lastly, I like the magnetic storm flap.
