WORKED PERFECT

Bought this to replace a cheap chain breaker. Was able to replace the chain on my MX bike as well as my Street bike with the different sized rivet removal tools.

Great quality

Nice feel in your hand, incredibly strong and works great. Glad I spent a little extra to get the good chainbreaker.

Good tool

The tool woks great. I it used on my 520 chain without any problems. A good set of instructions may be nessasary for the first ime user. I would give 5 stars if it had instructions.

Works great

first this comes with no instructions, check link in above post for video of how to use.

.hope this helps...

the 2 pins are for ONLY pushing out the pins...use large pin for 530 chains

to mushroom link pin heads i did this.....
take the assembly apart, inside is a ball bearing, use the small pin screwin ..add a small amount of grease to hold bearing, put small pin stop in bottom hole of breaker, now carefully put on chain, turn carefully about 1 complete turn,do not need to mushroom alot, watch above video link..

hope this little bit helps, but if used properly didnt have to grind pin heads first, just pushed them right out, worked great

Performed Great...

Used this tool today. It's very heavy duty and things went very smoothly. I didn't need to grind the pin head before breaking the old chain.. it pushed the pin right through piece of cake. Everything else went just as smoothly. Just note the tool comes with no instructions so I had to figure out what did what as I went. I'd recommend it though.

Got the job done

I purchased this with a couple extra pins 'just in case' and have yet to use them. They got the job done without any issues.

Worked Great

This is a very heavy duty chain tool and worked like it should for riviting on a master link

Poor Tool

I tried to rivet a master link together and the tools just bent. Instead of flaring the rivet the tool head just mushroomed. Complete garbage.

Q: Work for cam chain?
I already bought a chain link removal tool like this but the top that pushes the link bearing through is too big and doesn't work for the cam chain. Is there a tool that will work for the cam chain? or am I just removing the cam chain the wrong way?

A: the cam chain dose not come apart. refer to your service manual for proper cam chain removal. those chain tools are for your drive chain.

Q: How is it used?

Can anybody tell me how i rivet a chain with this? I tried figuring it out and ended up with 2 bent pins and a broken $7 master link.

A: first you use that big piece to push the link together then you use the small piece to rivet out the ends on the link.
