Thank god for motosport

I purchased a set a cams for my yzf 450. the decompression system on the exhaust cam was not working properly. called hot cams direct and the guy I spoke to had an attitude from the start. then informed me that I had to pay for shipping to return the cam. I called motosport and told them the situation. without hesitation they took care of everything! best customer service I've ever dealt with. its nice to know some people still care about their customers!

A: Yes this should work great on your 2002 Yamaha YZ426 and be all that you need.
Q: 1998 WR400f

Should I use theses cams and if I do what can I expect for performance? I see it says for 426 and up. What do You recommend?

A: Yes the HOTCAMS Camshaft would work on your 1998 WR400F. There would be a noticeable increase in midrange & top end power. For the best results though this cam works best with 95 mm big bore (426cc) or larger motors. Just be sure to correctly select the Year/Make/Model of your bike before ordering so we can be sure to send you the correct cam for your bike. Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.
Q: Want hot cams for 2002 WR 426f with auto decompressor - please advise

Can you tell me which part number to order ? My main goal is to get bike to be able to kick over so easy that I can do it without putting it on kickstand just sitting on it.

A: This would be the correct cam to order for your YZ426f to convert it to the auto decompression system. Please make sure to profile your bike properly as the cams are model specific.

A: For your YFZ450 you would need to purchase 1 intake cam and 1 exhaust cam. These will be Stage 1 cams that will be the best for overall riding performance. Please view the product recommendations for the correct intake and exhaust cams. Please make sure to profile your ATV correctly as these are model specific.
Q: Does this cam increase performance and by how much?
Is this a stock replacement with auto decomp, or does it increase horsepower and how much? Also, should I upgrade both intake and exhaust or will this one be good with stock intake cam?

A: You always need to replace both cams and the chain as a set. (ie: yamaha) hotcams will increase performance. They have 2 models; stage 1 & 2. Stage 1 is for more low to mid while stage 2 is more mid to top end.
Q: Is this a stage 1 or stage 2?

A: this is neither stage 1 or 2. What this does is make the older Yamaha 4strokes (02 and older) have the newer auto-decompression cam. This eliminates the decompression lever and allows the bike to start a lot easier. It's one less thing to think about when starting the bike.
