      Great Results!

I put this kit on my 06 Honda TRX450ER and it definitely gave me the power I was hoping for. I had a Big Gun slip-on muffler with the stock pipe before but this is so much better. 10/10 would recommend!

      Power increase

I recently purchased this HMF competition exhaust and it provided a great power gain to my KFX450R with my Fuel Customs Intake and PC5 fuel injector controller and sounds a lot better, I would totally recommend this exhaust to anyone looking for more power or sound.

      Made a difference

Installed the complete exhaust on my 05 Honda TRX450R after my Yoshimura carbon fiber pipe blew apart. The over all installation was super easy. I think from start to finish was twenty minutes including removal of original pipe. The machine now sounds meaner with an increase in throttle response.

      Best thing ever!!

I put this on my trx 250ex and it sounds just like a 450. Also picked up 5mph! Definitely purchase if you want a deep, strong sound!

      Sounds great

Very easy to install. Great throaty sound. Helps my Honda 450R, with a HRC kit, rev up quicker. Definitely gave more power at 3/4 throttle.

      Underrated

      Great pipe Easy to tune

Changed stock jet to #92 and shimmed the needle valve 1/16. Great power gain. Low end pulls much harder thru 2nd gear. TRX250X

      Question answered 1 year ago
Answer: Whether for a sport bike, dirt bike, cruiser, or ATV, an after-market exhaust system or a slip-on muffler will improve the performance of your motorcycle, which is particularly important for the race track and competition.
The stock exhaust systems are designed to meet the emissions and noise-level restrictions set in place by most federal, state, and local authorities, and laws vary from state to state. It’s important that everyone check with local laws to understand what changes to your stock exhaust system are permitted.
Most after-market exhaust parts are lighter weight than the originals from the manufacturers. Most after-market exhaust parts allow the exhaust to flow more freely, and with reduced back pressure, and thereby improve performance. Performance improvements might be achieved with higher horse power and top end speed, or tuned for better low-end torque and quicker acceleration.
Allowing the exhaust to flow with less restriction usually demands adjusting and retuning of the fuel/air system, whether it is carbureted or fuel injected. In many cases, you might not know whether or not adjustment or retuning is needed until after you installed the new exhaust and taken it out for test-ride.
Some carburetors allow you to adjust the fuel/air ratio and the idle, but in some cases, changing the exhaust might require rejetting. Check out the simple guide to rejetting your carburetors: http://www.motosport.com/blog/a-simple-guide-to-jetting-your-carb
Fuel injection systems are usually electronically controlled. Adjusting and tuning fuel injection systems usually require a fuel management system. http://www.motosport.com/blog/sportbike-and-motorcycle-fuel-management-guide

Question answered 1 year 2 months ago
Answer: The two biggest differences are the materials that the exhausts are made of, and what is included with the exhaust. The Competition Complete Exhaust is made of forged 304 stainless steel and the Elliptical Competition series is made of T6061 aluminum that weighs substantially less than stock. The Elliptical also comes with three removable inserts allowing you to dictate the type of power and sound you need.

Answer: The complete exhaust will come with a header and mid-pipe. I would recommend a tuner or reprogramming the bike to match the exhaust for peak performance and engine safety.
