Part is sturdy. Heavy duty. A bit of a PITA to mount on my truck, but not a deal killer. Holds the front wheel straight, but I have to continue to use the truck's stock mounting points for the outside tie downs to get enough angle for the tie downs to be effective. If there aren't stock hooks, you would really have to torque the bikes down to keep them from leaning when you turn the truck. I bought this to avoid having to jockey tie downs over or under the other bike's front wheel. It accomplishes this. Price is fair. Just cheap enough to keep my from spending the time to make my own, which could be done in a couple hours and $10 in material...wouldn't look as nice though.

i installed mine in a trailer. the included hardware did not work the way I wanted it. So i went to the hardware store. I love it
I just purchased this bar to bring two bikes on a long trip in my truck. Installation was pretty straightforward but you will need to drill the bed of your truck. I was doubtful the angle of attachment from the bars on the bike to the bar would not hold the bike steady but it worked great. It's a must if you transport more than one bike.
This is a very good quality made bar. Install in made easy with the flag-nuts and bolts. I bought the add on bar to make it able to haul three bikes at once. I use it for a 2012 kx250f, a 2001 yz250f and a 2012 Suzuki rmz450. I have never had any bikes move or bump into each other using this bar. I also use it to haul two gsxr600s and have no problems. Without this bar I am sure my bed would be bent into the cab of my truck. They only downside to this bar is the black powder coat fades from the sun pretty quick.
This tie bar is built with great craftsmanship and feels very sturdy, I am very happy with the fit and finish. I gave this product three stars for two reasons. The first reason is that it is a pain in the butt to install, I am very mechanically inclined and I had a couple hang ups. It wasn't too bad, just not sure if the hassle to install it makes the product worth it. My second reason is that I am not positive it can hold a motorcycle. The bed where it mounts is very thin metal and I'm scared it will rip the tie bar through the bed under a heavy load. I use hooks in the sides of my bed that I installed to tie the bike down and I use this as a front wheel chock/bed support to keep my bed from caving in towards the cab. For those reasons i like it though.
