Hold up very well!

Only have had my raptor 700r for about 1 month now. But I will say these hold up very well. I ride hard. VERY HARD. the first 10 min out with the new raptor and all gytr skid plates I hit a stupid post on the left front A-arm. Bent my tie rod and hit the GYTR frontA-arm plate bent it a little bit. But that's was it know my tiered looks like a boomerang. I will say these plate held up very well. It with the shipping of motosport they got here faster then it took the tie rod to come in.

I replaced the weak plastic swing arm guard on my 15 raptor 700 because it was broken and ripped on the chain and sprocket side. This one fits perfect and is tough enough to handle the rocky woods riding we usually do.

Well built

Installed on a 700 Raptor. Simple install. It can certainly take a hit, which is good since I lost valuable ground clearance.

Nothing comes close

Thickest skid plate I’ve seen with delrin chain guide, fits perfectly. Pay the extra price for GYTR. Definitely worth it.

Great features

I bought these skid plates a month ago. Read some good and bad reviews and was a little concerned because i read that the skid plate bends easy but after riding and testing it out for myself I am very satisfied with the manufactured product. This is well worth my money.

Great craftsmanship- Unacceptable design

I have had GYTR skids, etc on other quads (Raptor 250) and thought they were excellent design, fit, and craftsmanship. I was prepared to pay top dollar for skids for my son's new (to us) 2008 YFZ 450. Craftsmanship was still excellent, but it was designed with EXCESIVE gap between the rear chain/sprocket and the protective guard. I understand that the rear swing guard will need to give up some rear ground clearance, but this particular design gives up about an inch an a quarter more than a "tighter" design would dictate (compared to plates from other manufacturers that I have seen and even GYTR rear skids for other models of quad). That is a very significant percentage of the available ground clearnace and I believe it would translate to many more severe impacts. MotoSport is allowing an exchange and I hope to have better results with another brand. If you want a pretty chunk of metal to put on the workbench bench get it, but otherwise DO NOT BUY,

Bent and Dent

Not a bad skid plate if you are going to race on a track with no rocks. But if you bang this plate off rocks it bends very easily. I hit some rocks on trails and it did not take long for it to get a nice bend toward my brake disc. In my opinion the weight reduction from aluminum is not worth it, I would go with steel any day. In conclusion I would just like to say that if you are going to ride on rough trails...pick a different skid plate.
