I got this about 2 months ago and it made a huge difference in making the power delivery of my 2006 YZ250 more useable. I am able to carry a higher gear through corners and in tight trails. Very well made. Definately would recommend to anyone.

Great upgrade to my 2 stroke

Bought this to help get a little more traction to the ground on my 2017 yz250.

Installation: Easy to install. Old flywheel was easily removed with motion pro flywheel puller. Swapped in this one and tightened the nut. Took me about 30 min but I would guess a better mechanic could probably do it in 15 min. Biggest issue I had was trying to torque the flywheel nut to spec. I used a strap wrench but would recommend using an engine lock-up tool as the strap wrench wasn't very reassuring to use when torquing to 40 ft/lbs; unfortunately motosport doesn't seem to sell this but I ended up buying a Steahly engine lock up tool from another vendor.

Use: My primary use is for motocross riding. Probably have 5 hours or so on it now and definitely like it over the stock flywheel. Bike seems to do a lot better in the corners and exit speed is noticeably improved when there is poor track conditions. I've also noticed that it seems to stretch the gearing out some too so I can stay in a lower gear coming into certain jumps and through certain tight corners. I'm a Vet C rider, though, so maybe better riders will have a different opinion. For the price though, if you're on the fence, I'd give it a shot. Also, I had considered getting a flywheel weight as an alternative; with how easily this part installs, unless you need something much heavier, just get this and this way you don't need a new cover or gasket spacer and you also won't have to worry about the weight detaching. Overall great part and am very happy with it.

Also, as usual with motosport, great price and quick shipping.

the flywheel smoothed out the power on my 2015 YZ 250 2 Stroke, less wheel spin & more power to the Ground makes for faster lap times, LOVE IT!

A: It is always suggested to replace the cover gasket when replacing flywheel components. You will not need any spacers or bolts. You will re-use those OEM pieces.

A: This product does not come with any gaskets, hardware needed to install. Replacing the damaged items before install would be necessary.

A: The GYTR Off-Road Flywheel would Add 4.4 ounces for an inertia mass of 3.2 KG-CM² to your 2016 Yamaha YZ450F. The added inertia makes your machine easier to ride by smoothing out the hit and reducing the bike's tendency to stall at low speeds.
