Grunge Brush

This will probably get the job done, but, I was surprised at how cheaply it was made. Another Chinese special. The handle is flimsy (it twists easily) and uncomfortable to hold tightly. The plastic bristles are not stout enough to knock off hardened mud and chain lube. I use this on off road race bikes after riding in any & all conditions. Looks like its made to have replaceable brushes but I doubt I will use it enough to wear the brushes out. I regret buying this item.

Broke on first use

When adjusting the brushes to the smaller size the fittings immediately cracked rendering the product useless.

Great Brush

Great scrub brush. breaks up gunk and the life span of the chain benefits greatly, last much longer.

Question: Are the bristles metal or a hard plastic? and i see that it is adjustable to a 480 and 520 chain but would it work well on my 525 chain?

Question answered Over 11 years ago
Answer: The bristles are hard plastic. It will work on 525 chain better than conventional brushes but not quite as ideally as it does on 520 and 480 chains. To use it on a 525 you turn it 90 degrees and come from the side instead of the top or bottom. It doesn't fit quite as perfectly/tightly and therefore requires slightly more work than it does on a 520 or 480, but still far less than conventional brushes that only hit one side of the chain at a time.

Answer: I can tell you that it is made from plastic type bristles, not metal. It worked well with my GSXR 600 chain but since I'm still fairly new to owning my own bike, I couldn't tell you what size it works with. It works great and I do recommend it.
