Find other: Garmin Personal Gps
Boasting rugged construction and an oversized touchscreen display, the Garmin Montana 610t GPS intuitively navigates across wide swaths of expansive wilderness. Upgraded over the similarly spec'd Montana 610, the Montana 610t GPS features an eight megapixel digital camera for geotagging photos of hunting camps, backcountry campsites, and favorite off-grid locations.
The high-sensitivity GPS receiver locks onto satellites faster by using Russian-based GLONASS alongside traditional GPS satellites. HotFix satellite prediction gives regular users even faster satellite acquisition by predicting the position of GPS satellites up to three-days since its last use. For advanced navigation, the 3-axis, tilt-compensated compass shows your heading when you're on the move. Plus, the barometric altimeter tracks changes in pressure for monitoring fast-moving storm fronts and documenting elevation readings.
Easy to read in bright sunlight, the four-inch, dual-orientation touchscreen display is incredibly intuitive to use, much like your favorite smartphone. It even works with gloves during inclement weather. The included shaded relief basemap is supplemented by a one-year subscription to BirdsEye satellite imagery. This high-resolution imagery provides brilliant clarity and details, allowing users to conceptualize nuances in terrain and environment.
Featuring four gigabytes of built-in memory, the Montana 610t stores up to 4000 waypoints and 200 routes, alongside downloadable maps at extra cost. MicroSD-expandable memory (card not included) allows you to swap out different maps when you're engaging in different activities, such as hunting, backpacking, and boating. Its dual-battery system ensures plenty of juice for extended adventures, with the included, rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasting some 16-hours. 3 AA batteries provide back-up power when you're running low in the wilderness. The Montana 610t comes bundled with a lithium-ion battery, USB charging/data cable, AC charger, and instructions.
