I bought these for my son and he loves the fit and feel. I like the great price!
The boots are well made and run wide in the toe box, just what I needed. I haven't had much time in them so they are still pretty stiff. These are the only boots I found that I could get to go around my calves. They're still a little tight on the calves but I think they will loosen up with more use. I have not used them enough to speak about durability but I think they will last a long time.
Just used my new boots. They fit perfect in the foot, a little snug at the top over my knee pads... that should stretch out over time. Overall, a good boot, so far.
First time ever owning Gaerne boots. Very comfortable. Feel broken in after one ride. Happy with my purchase.
I bought these boots based off having a pair of sg12 in the past. They are pretty comparable for the most part. Definitely run on the big side. I wear a size 10 in just about every other pair of boats I own and these fit way big. So take that into consideration. Other than that I've got one race in them and been happy
I bought these for my son for christmas and the foot area is comfortable but the straps are about 2 inches too short because they wont even buckle when there is no leg inside of the boot when the velcrow is line up perfectly, Im clueless when i paid almost $300 and they dont Fit

Question:Q: Looking for a size 10.5 in the reviews it seems be like they run big.Question asked Over 8 months ago
Question answered by MichaelUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered Over 8 months agoAnswer: A: Unfortunately, that particular boot is not available in that size(moto boots don't do half sizes). However if you are looking for a larger boot than you will want to shop either the SG-10 or SG-12.

Question:Q: How tall are the size 6 boots? I’m 5’2 adult female.. fox and O’Neil youth boots don’t fit around my calves.. worried it might be the same situation with the sg-j but also worried the gx-1 might be too tall. Please help! Thanks!Question asked 1 year 1 month ago
Question answered by MichaelUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered 1 year 1 month agoAnswer: A: Most motocross boots are going to be similar in height. What may I ask is too tall, most should come up to just about under the knee as is the design for premium protection.

Question:Q: These come in size 6.. what’s the difference between these and the sg-j youth boot that’s available in the same size at a lower price?Question asked 1 year 1 month ago
Question answered by PaulUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered 1 year 1 month agoAnswer: A: Both the Gaerne GX-1 Boots and the Gaerne Youth SG-J Boots are available in boy's/men's size 6.
In some parts of the world, such as Italy and Japan, size 6 is considered to be a men's size. In other parts of the world, including the US, size 6 is considered to be a boy's size. In any case, size 6 is the same size, sitting between size 5 and size 7.
An adult man who wears size 6 is likely to be heavier and stockier than a tween or teen who wears size 6. The Youth boots are lighter, more flexible, and not as tall as the men's boots. The men's boots fit thicker calves, and the boy's boots fit skinnier calves. The youth boots are a better bargain for someone who might grow out of the boots in a year or two. The men's boots are a better investment to keep long-term.

Question:Q: I'm a size 10.5 mens in almost every shoe. Whats the best size in the GX1 for me?.Question asked 1 year 3 months ago
Question answered by JamesGearheadUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered 1 year 3 months agoAnswer: A: These run pretty true to size. However, they also qualify for the Free First Exchange that Motosport offers. If they end up being too big/small for you, or you just are not happy with them at all then Motosport will exchange them for a different size/pair, AND cover the shipping fees!
