I bought these excel spoke kit for my 04 Ktm 250sx. As well all know ktm come stock with excel rims. When comparing my Oem spokes to these, i was able to tell the difference on the size just by the eye test. I got in contact with excel and they told me that the news would fit my hub and rim. But the tapered head was way too small and I didn’t feel confident in these new spokes
These spokes are fantastic. they are very durable and some what easy to install. Will defiantly use these excel spokes in the future.
Installed on my Excel wheel. Perfect Fit.
they fit perfctly and neat
Went on easy using supplied spoke wrench and seem much better than stock spokes. Can't go wrong with Excel, there's a reason their rims come on most bikes.
had to drill my rim holes bigger but other than that great product
Put these on a 2003 Klx 300 after I snapped a few of mine. Way heavier duty and cheaper than oem. Takes a little while to put them since it was the first wheel I have laced, but a good purchase indeed.
i bought these to relace my rear wheel the installation went smooth. when i started to tighten the spokes i realized the splines on the nipples where good for maybe 2 or 3 tries then they strip out. the tool they give you don't fit good at all.

Question:Q: I have a 2001 rm250 my rear wheel is excel will these spokes fix my rim?Question asked Over 7 months ago
Question answered by DaveGearheadUser's contributor status: Top 1Question answered Over 7 months agoAnswer: A: Honestly it would depend on the hub, not just the rim. It is likely that you will have to drill out the spoke holes on the hub to accommodate a larger diameter spoke.
