The dunlop MX3S is a rock solid tire that offers tons of traction and predictability. The lugs on these things are MASSIVE and you can definitely feel a confidence inspiring bite. However, durability could be better. Once you start to lose edge to the knobbies, the performance decreases quite a bit. So you'll have to stay on top of replacing them. If you're on a tighter budget, i'd recommend a more durable tire.

Great tire for prepped tracks and sand.was running MX 52 on front but I am sold on this tire after using a MX 52 on tracks and trails. Now spending most of my time on tracks.
I've been running the Dunlop MX52 compound front and rear, hoping to get a little more life out of my rubber, running on intermediate tracks mostly, but decided to try the MX3S for improved front end feel (2008 YZF450).
Wow!!! Why did I wait so long? What a night and day difference!!! Hard pack jump faces out a tight corner? No problem? Wandering lines in that fast sweeper? Pick one and go! Need to change direction? Tighten up your line? Look and go, this tire is PLANTED!
Running the 80/100-21 front, was running the 90/90-21 but this just turns better.
Don't hestitate. Spoon 'em on and try them yourself!!!
These are the only tires we use now.
Great fit for our motocross region!
Vet expert offroad racer here. This is the only front tire I have run for the past two years once I discovered it. That is about to come to an end because they are replacing this tire with the new MX33, but if you are buying leftovers of this tire it is a worthwhile purchase IF you are a serious racer type. I say that because this is a performance tire that doesn't last very long, especially when used on hardpack. Yea I know it's a soft terrain tire, but it works great on all surfaces. I hate the MX52 but this tire works great in soft dirt (like it's supposed to) but in the Texas summer when it's blue groove. It has really good grip on the side of the tire and it is consistent. Once you use it on hardpack though it will only last a few hours / races and the side knobs start breaking off. I won't call it chunking because the side knobs will actually stay on the tire, but they will split where they meet the tire and just roll over so at that point the tire is done.
I usually run about 13psi for offroad.
I'm bummed they are replacing this tire but hopefully the new one will be better.
We use the MX3S for all track conditions. We use them at Baja Acres in the sand and at WildCat in Indiana on the clay.
I have ran Dunlop tires forever. I have tried many others from cheep to expensive and won’t even consider another now days. I switched from the MX 52 to the MX3 as I moved to Florida and with the more sandy tracks it is the choice of tire for me.
Good traction and wears well. A little pricier than I wish.
I run these front and back and absolutly love them. Eventually the knobs will start to rip and I get another set.
I have tried the 32's, 52's, bridgestones, maxxis, Sedona and I'm sure I missed a few. For the PNW these are the ones to run.
