I'm 52 yrs old, 5'7", weight is 195 lbs. My legs are short and I ride a 2008 Suzuki RMZ250 in the IXCR cross country series. I have always had trouble touching the ground when on my bike. I've cut down the seat foam and now added this awesome Devol lowering link. It did just what is says it will. It lowers the rear of the bike around 1-1 1/2" without hardly throwing off your geometry. You do, however, need to lower your forks in the triple trees the same amount of distance the rear gets lowered in order to keep the chassis balance properly. That's simply loosening your pinch bolts, sliding the forks up around an 1" and retightening. My kit came with new needle bearings, seals, center spacer and retainers already installed. I did take it apart and grease it very heavily since I race woods and typically get in water and deep mud. The other thing to remember whenever messing with the rear suspension is to RESET YOUR SAG! Most people overlook this so please find out how to do it, it's simple also, ,and do it. Overall, this took about 10 mins to install and another 5mins to adjust the sag then BOOM...I was riding. It now allows me and my short legs to touch the ground and now hopely I won't struggle so much in a woods race when I need to put my feet down for balance. Excellent fit and finish and it did just what I needed it to do.

The Devol lowering link worked out good it lowered my KLX 250 where it will work for my 5"6" inseam I do not have to do any other mods to my bike. The picture shows the needle bearings but they do not come with the kit you only get the dog bone arms. Make sure your final plate has started on the shoulder bolt before you start to tighten up any bolts of nuts.
I am very happy with the high quality finish and it was very easy to install, the instructions were easy to follow and I was riding in about 20 minutes
A good way to lower the seat height about 1 inch, well made product.
This thing really lower my bike to a good height
The lowering link it self does the job perfectly. Super easy to install and made a huge difference for my wife who is 5'3. Originally the links got lost in the mail. I made one call to customer service and they shipped me out another no questions asked
Put this on my wife’s Yamaha wr 250, lowered the seat height 1/4 inch. What a complete waste of time and money. Very disappointed.
I used this for my wife’s CFR250X, works great.
2 bolts and it's installed. Grease the needle bearings before installation.
