i bought these about 3 weeks ago i had them 2 days and was riding out in sand pit just layed the bike over in corner with all the sand lost momentum i picked the bike up noticed aluminum brack twisted a bit now looks funny on bike also where springs are pressed into plastic and have to loc tite all bolts when putting together i lost screw and they don't make replacement parts you have to buy all new handguards i like them but the need to work on a few things.
I wanted to shed some weight on my 19 tx300 after i decked it out with all the guards. I liked my wrap arounds but they were heavy and i dont like them when i do the occasional mx. I also didnt like the extra width they put on the bars and i hate cutting them down. I put 7 hours on the bike with these flags this weekend with no issues. Only a couple of tip-overs but they held up great and folded back like they are suppose to.
Nice quality, but aluminum bracket is not indestructible, not nearly as strong as full bark busters. They pivot forward via spring so in the event of a crash they probably will break/bend back, but a cool feature. Also they mount far ahead of the levers on a YZ250X as to accommodate a range of motorcycles, bracket could easily be over an inch shorter, but they still look cool.
Very easy to install, used Motocross and Cross Country. Works very well
Gloves seem a little tight at first , but fit great after a couple times! Hand guards are nice just didn’t fit around brake so didn’t go as far out towards the end of brake lever !
I bought these a few months ago and am mostly happy with them. Be sure to check the front screws after rides to keep them tight, also the screws that hold the flapper to the frame are too short and don't quite catch the nylon on the nut. I lost the nut off both sides and the screw on one side. I replaced them with longer screws, lock washers, new nylock nuts and a good amount of locktite. Haven't had a problem since that... haha. So the hardware sucks but the overall fit and finish is good and I like the way they look on the bike.
Used these for a few rides now and have bounced the bars off a couple trees and branches and They have protected my hands every time so far. Very rigid for not being full wrap around bark busters. Easy to install. I installed under mount style and it works great. Great flex back design to avoid snapping them off. Very pleased.
I bought these from a local mx shop about 2 weeks ago for my 2015 KTM 125sx (Tapered handlebar-7/8in-1 1/8in). I have taken these on the track twice since then. They have held up well and were extremely easy to install. all you need is a set of Allen keys. I have always had full wrap around bark busters prior to these, my reason for switching over is that one of my buddies I ride with compound fractured both of his wrist in a accident with bark busters where his hands slid under the bark busters.
These guards did well on the track and decent on the trail. I have raced hare scrambles with these, and as long as your not wide open flying into a tree these will give you enough coverage from brush and large branches.
If you are installing these onto a KTM the only thing you should know is that you might need to rotate the clutch and break perch up a tad. I installed these under the clutch/break perch assembly.
They look great and work great! The decals didn't stay on very long so I just took them off and it looks really good!
Got these for xc racing. Thought being metal that theyou might last....
I was wrong! Broke the cheap little plastic bar off that holds the gaudience on. Also bent broke the cheap bolts off of the other side.
