These hand guards look great and provide good protection for hands and levers. Lots of room for hands and lever operation. The only negative is the shield mounting holes not being tapped. They should either come pre-tapped or tell you what the thread is so you can tap it yourself. It must be some weird thread since I could not find a tap to match. The self tapping screws they provide are hard to use because they fill up with shavings. The trick is: use one screw to tap all holes since it will get messed up and they provide extras. Use tapping fluid safe for aluminum. If the screw binds up before bottoming out, back it out, clean the threads with a wire wheel, apply more tapping fluid and finish the hole. Clean the screw threads out before every hole. This makes it a lot easier tapping the holes and then all the other shiny new screws go in smooth as butter.

There is nothing worse than spending a lot of money and ending up with a massive headache from it. The plastic pieces did not fit the metal bars at all, holes were off and the contour of them were wrong. The holes in the bars were not threaded which makes it a real pain when the holes on the plastics are keeping you from getting the bolt to hit the hole straight. once you get those half way on and tightened down, the triple tree mount doesn't come with bolts longer bolts for the triple tree plus you have to bend the hand guard six inches to even get it to reach the triple tree mounts. I stripped out my triple tree while trying to tighten the mounts down which is going to cost me a ton to replace.
I will never spend my money on anything with the cycra name again, if they cant make plastics for there own products how could they make plastics for someone else's product?
These work well on most bikes I've tried them on. They stand up to more abuse than the Acerbis bars I've tried (less bending on big drops). Only issues is that their hardware always seems to go rusty, which is just annoying!
Bought these for an '07 YZ450F with ProTaper Bars. The description indicated this was specific to an '07 with these bars, but it wasn't as good a fit as I would have liked. I also had to move the kill switch, the throttle cables, and the brake levers to different positions. The decals were also put on haphazardly and will not stick. I will likely have to pull them off or lose them on the trails. The Probend composite side guard looks awesome but the holes were not drilled in the correct spots and I had to use a heat gun to bend the composite into a place that would match the aluminum brace bend. Overall, after all that, the handguards are very sturdy and will likely last forever. Disappointed in the manufacturing quality control given the cost.
I writing this because I'm here to order another pair of these because my bike fell over during strong winds at the track and the bike landed perfect to bend one side into the lever! Basically saved the lever but too bad for the hand guard. In the trails though I hit many massive trees and saved my hands every time without fail. If you ever hand your hands hit by anything while riding your reaction is to pull back. Bad idea! Save your hands!
these do provide more room then the other brands, have had a couple of good crashes with them and there holding up good the bar mounts have great clearance room for all lines that cross clutch brake ex... The only thing I did not like was on install the hardware that fits into the end of the bar needs work to put in but not too bad
I really like how these guards turned out. They look great and are solid. I did however have to compensate for some holes, plastic to metal not aligning up just right. Instructions are not informative enough, it's a must to look on YouTube how to install correctly to avoid potentially dangerous mistakes on your throttle side.
