Cycra pro gaurds

I bought these for my crf450l with the triple clamp mounts. I fell on a rocky hill climb and was happy to see that no damage was done to my bodywork and only slight scratches to the plastic outer hand guard. Highly recommend!

Great design, well made and durable.

These hand guards look great and provide good protection for hands and levers. Lots of room for hands and lever operation. The only negative is the shield mounting holes not being tapped. They should either come pre-tapped or tell you what the thread is so you can tap it yourself. It must be some weird thread since I could not find a tap to match. The self tapping screws they provide are hard to use because they fill up with shavings. The trick is: use one screw to tap all holes since it will get messed up and they provide extras. Use tapping fluid safe for aluminum. If the screw binds up before bottoming out, back it out, clean the threads with a wire wheel, apply more tapping fluid and finish the hole. Clean the screw threads out before every hole. This makes it a lot easier tapping the holes and then all the other shiny new screws go in smooth as butter.

Great Handguard Kit!

Have these on my ‘07 KTM 450SXF and purchased a pair for my ‘17 Honda CRF250R. I installed them in about an hour without any trouble! They are rock solid and look awesome. The standard U clamp mounts worked well. They are compact and I didn’t have to move any of the controls.

Absolutely horrible

There is nothing worse than spending a lot of money and ending up with a massive headache from it. The plastic pieces did not fit the metal bars at all, holes were off and the contour of them were wrong. The holes in the bars were not threaded which makes it a real pain when the holes on the plastics are keeping you from getting the bolt to hit the hole straight. once you get those half way on and tightened down, the triple tree mount doesn't come with bolts longer bolts for the triple tree plus you have to bend the hand guard six inches to even get it to reach the triple tree mounts. I stripped out my triple tree while trying to tighten the mounts down which is going to cost me a ton to replace.
I will never spend my money on anything with the cycra name again, if they cant make plastics for there own products how could they make plastics for someone else's product?

Worked well, 02 KDX 220 and 07 KTM 450 EXC

These work well on most bikes I've tried them on. They stand up to more abuse than the Acerbis bars I've tried (less bending on big drops). Only issues is that their hardware always seems to go rusty, which is just annoying!

Just OK

Bought these for an '07 YZ450F with ProTaper Bars. The description indicated this was specific to an '07 with these bars, but it wasn't as good a fit as I would have liked. I also had to move the kill switch, the throttle cables, and the brake levers to different positions. The decals were also put on haphazardly and will not stick. I will likely have to pull them off or lose them on the trails. The Probend composite side guard looks awesome but the holes were not drilled in the correct spots and I had to use a heat gun to bend the composite into a place that would match the aluminum brace bend. Overall, after all that, the handguards are very sturdy and will likely last forever. Disappointed in the manufacturing quality control given the cost.

Didnt fail me yet. Hands are intact.

I writing this because I'm here to order another pair of these because my bike fell over during strong winds at the track and the bike landed perfect to bend one side into the lever! Basically saved the lever but too bad for the hand guard. In the trails though I hit many massive trees and saved my hands every time without fail. If you ever hand your hands hit by anything while riding your reaction is to pull back. Bad idea! Save your hands!

A: It depends on your bar setup, but the Solution mount has the widest range of compatibility options. The U Clamp is a cleaner setup, but more specific when it comes to mounting options. Assuming you're running the stock Pro Taper bars, choose the 08+ Pro Taper option if you go with the U Clamps.

A: The U clamp is the most popular mount. You need to know whether you are running 7/8" or 1 1/8" bars though.

A: I believe due to the configuration of the fork mounts on your bike you will need the side mounts. https://www.motosport.com/cycra-pro-bend-side-triple-clamp-mount?mmy=clear&variant[CYC000N]=CYC000N-X001-Y001

A: for the Cycra mount you may want to select the KTM 08+ option as long as they are the standard bars that came on the bike from the dealership. If you have any questions give us a call at 1-888-676-8853.

A: Because your bike is a dual sport motorcycle, you have much less room on the bars due to the switches. You are likely needing to buy the CRM mounts. The problem is that many of the mounts they offer are only offered for 1 1/8" diameter bars.

Q: I have a 2003 kx125, what kit and mount would you recommmed for best fit with 7/8 bars and 1-1/8 bars ?

A: The 2003 Kawasaki KX125 has a top triple-clamp with pinch-bolts that enter from the rear towards the front, on the sides of the triple clamp. The best Cycra mount for this triple-clamp is the Pro Bend Front Triple Clamp Mount.

The second choice would be U-Clamp mounts.
The '03 KX125 came stock with 7/8" diameter bars. For the original bars, the Pro Bend U Clamp Mount - Standard 7/8" Bars will fit.
If you have upgraded to a Fat Bar, Oversized, or 1 1/8" diameter handlebar, the Pro Bend U Clamp Mount - To 07 Pro Taper/Most 1-1/8in Bars will fit.
For any other applications, we will need to know exactly which handlebar you have.
