Great tires.

The tires are awesome. Made my son's DRZ400E, with supermoto 17" wheels much safer on the dirt and fire roads of Humboldt county CA. They also have great traction on the wet and rains roads.

Awesome on dirt and very good on pavement

Without considering price and potential short life span it’s the best tire in ithe adv ride category.

Nice tire.

This tire came stock on my bike and after wearing it out I decide to replace with the same tire for a trip I took. Worked good on pavement and gravel roads in the dry and the wet.

Handles great

I installed these on my 2017 Africa Twin for a back-road / dirt-road ride in Maryland and West Virginia. I was surprised at how smooth they were. Being knobbies I thought they'd ride rough, but they felt as smooth as street tires and were very confidence inspiring in the curves. Maybe they felt smooth because the Africa Twin is so plush, but I was more than impressed with these tires. On the downside, we did about 500 miles and the wear was very noticeable. I tried to keep an even throttle to minimize wear, so I can only imagine how quickly these would wear out with some aggressive riding. As soon as I got home I put on a new set of TKC70s and will save these for my dirt-road rides.
Great tires, but wear quickly.

Best for trails and pavement

Last summer, I used the TKC80s on my BMW R1200GS for riding the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route, on the highway from Portland to Lakeview, Oregon, on the dirt and gravel for 700 miles from Lakeview to Walla Walla, WA, and then again on the highway from Walla Walla, WA to Portland again.
I liked the TKC80s so well that I put them on my Suzuki DR650 for the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route planned for this year. I will ride the freeway from Portland to Seattle, and then The North Cascades Highway to go east and north into Osoyoos, British Columbia. Then ride 600 miles of dirt and gravel south from Canada to Hood River, Oregon.
Helpful hint: if your bike requires innertubes, get the T-type tires.

Great 50/50 traction!

Tire is wearing great! Continental tires have never let me down in 20 years! Choose a brand that you can afford and trust at the same time.

Q: I have a 2018 drz400sm. I want to have these be my off-road tires. I am just a little confused about which size I need to order so they will fit. I want a complete extra set of tires so it will be an easy change from street to off-road wheels.

A: the speed rating of the tire depends on the size as well, we actually list their load and speed rating under the individual rear and front tire's product pages.

Q: Why do you not make a 100/90/18 size tire in the Continental TKC 80 ?

What can I use to replace this tire size without replacing my rim ? I would like to put TKC 80 on front and rear would a 110/80/18 TKC80 tire work on the front ?

A: With this tire being as knobby as it is and your bike being designed for street use I would go with another dual sport tire that has a smoother profile that would be able to fit even if you went up to the 110. I couldn't be positive that the knobs will clear the front fender.
