Returned tires, rear was from 2015 and front from early 2017. Tires felt hard and dry, do not recommend buying tires from this site.

I returned these tires because I received a front from early 2017 and a rear from mid 2015. All the chili sticky compound was gone and tires felt and looked old. Too bad, because the reviews on this tire were great.
I bought the 180/55R17 for my 600RR, choosing the Continental mainly to try the Black Chili single compound construction. Some two and three compound tires get such an irregular profile once reaching 70-80% wear, with abrupt transitions from compound to compound. The special heat treatment of the Black Chili seems to help quite a bit. Of course you still have a worn profile, but I don't see the abrupt transitions like some multi-compounds.
I ride street, the curvy back roads mostly, and my riding style uses most of the tread profile, chicken strips are always around 8mm. That being said, I pulled the tire off at 4,300 miles, and the wear bars were not yet showing. If I hadn't punctured the tire several times, I would have probably got at least 5,500 miles out of it.
Also, the grip is excellent, even without "scrubbing in".
Replaced a set of pilot 3's on my 675. The Conti's have a fast break in and I am able to lay over further in corners without fear of breaking loose. Thread wear seams ok what's expected from a grip tire. Bonus the tread pattern looks fantastic.
These SPORT ATTACK 2 tires are the real deal !!!! After riding on 2 sets of the S 20 Evos,i prefer the characteristics of the Conti Sport Attack 2..The Conti Sport Attack 2 feels great from the 1st ride, down to the wear bars. The Conti Sport Attack 2 tips in and out quick, smooth and effortlessly, and is so comfortable, predictable and reliable at full lean.I got 3300 GOOD miles out of the rear, and 3600 out of the front which i will take any day....As i said before these tires felt the same from the beginning to the very end which is important to me...MOTOSPORT has the best Staff , Prices and fastest delivery on the net,so don't waste your time anywhere else.Have fun and be safe out there ,PEACE
After 3200 miles of canyon riding on the back tire and 3500 on the front, these tires are the real deal. The sport attack 2 HYPERSPORT is now one of my all time favs.I rode neutral tires for a while, and the change to this tire has been way more enjoyable. The tire tips in fantastic, moves side to side with little effort and has never let me down at lean.Warms up fast and feels good all the way down to the wear bars.I have to be honest, after 200 miles on this tire, i caught a horse nail in it..I plugged the tire got 3000 more miles out of it and the tire never ever leaked. Not 1 time was i ever worried about the integrity of this tire as it feels great all the time.I'm on my 2nd set and hope Continental never stops making this model. It's true conti runs higher tire pressure so don't be alarmed.I ran 36 front 40 rear in the canyons and was stoked on the grip and the wear.Anytime i can get 3k out of a good GRIPPY TIRE im very happy..I ride Palomar mountain-banner grade and Montezuma, all in SAN DIEGO COUNTY...Peace
I used a lot of different tires in my time, but this one by far is hard to beat!! I did a little burnout right in the shop parking lot to get the slick gone and road twisties HARD all day long. I'm not sure about the tread wear ill update that in time but for now spend the extra and buy these you wont be disappointed!!!!! ohhhhh and the highway is sweeeeeeeet no noise and smooooooth!

Question:Q: I ride a custom R1 I've been looking through your tires and asking questions. What is the difference between Conti Sport Attack 2 and Conti Motion tire? They both have good reviews.Question asked 1 year 5 months ago
Question answered by DockUser's contributor status:Question answered 1 year 5 months agoAnswer: A: I would say that the Sport Attack tires are more oriented to high performance sport riding (softer compound, fewer tread supes, etc.), and the motion tires are more street/commuting oriented. I have ContiMotion on the front of my supersport, and it has good grip and is durable (10,000 miles life). I have another with Sport Attack 2 on it, and I expect with the softer compound, the service life will be less. So if you are riding corners at very deep lean angles the Attack will give a bit more grip at the expense of longevity. If you have for instance an extended swingarm, you would be wasting your money putting soft tires on. That is the classic trade-off in moto tires, grip vs longevity. It's a decision you should make based on your personal style and preferences.

Question answered by nitromethmanUser's contributor status:Question answered Over 6 years agoAnswer: A: If your not looking for any real performance as far as hard cornering, hanging the bike down low, and things like hole shots go with a shinko or another cheap hard compound tire just because the harder compound tires your gonna get more highway miles out of because eventually your gonna wear them flat and a good soft high quality sport bike tire is gonna wear fast due to it being a soft compound. Now in my opinion the continental hyper sport attack 2 is the best tire I've ever road but I haven't seen the longevity of them yet but for sound, comfort, ride and piece of mind those are what you want!
