This tool is handy for smaller snap rings, but you'll want something beefier for the big ones. If you don't get a perfect grip on the ring it's not hard to shoot them right into your face (or worse, somewhere you can't find on the ground), so consider covering it with a rag while you remove the clip!

Used these to rebuild my rear MC on my crf250. Easy to use and cheap product would recomend
This tool does work, but is flimsy and doesn't do well in situations where power is needed. I believe this is the dilemma you run into when you have inter changeable heads. I am on the fence about recommending it or giving it a 4/5.
How often do you need snap ring pliers? Not too often, BUT, if you are one who has a half hour to fumble with small pair of needle-nose pliers and flat head screw drivers to get the snap ring back on when changing that front sprocket, then this isn't for you. If you are interested saving time and minimizing frustration, then these are an absolute MUST HAVE in any MX tool box.
These are well made, and work on the smallest to the largest snap rings I've ever had to remove.
