Bought this with a slight hesitation from reading other reviews on this but I'm glad I ordered it anyways. Longest part of the install for me was setting the foam spacers so it won't rattle around in the box. Battery came charged just enough to fire the bike up for the first time installed. I will say that it fired much quicker than the lead battery. A big plus for me is I put my 17 636 on a diet and this battery cut six pounds off of her. if your hesitating on getting this battery do not. Just go ahead and click add to cart and order it. You will not be disappointed, I know I wasn't. As always big ups to motorsport and Justin at the motorsport office.

Works great

Got this in one day. Came with foam spacers so it doesn't rattle around.
Seems to crank a little stronger so it fires up quickly. Best price for lithium battery so I bought another. I haven't had it very long so I can't speak to durability yet.

Lightweight

It's so light, I thought the box was empty. Turns my KTM 400 over faster than it ever has.

Fantastic power to weight ratio

Even came with shims to fill the battery compartment. Can't believe how quickly this battery starts my 1500 twin.

Awesome battery. It is so light that it doesn't seem real. Starts bike great every time. You will need a lithium charger though, but still very worth it. Now I need one for all of my other bikes

Not Recomended

This battery is much smaller than my regular battery and came with NO blocks to make up for the space. Also, it's my opinion that the lithium ion battery disagrees with the computer in BMW motorcycles. Although the CCA was rated higher than my normal battery, it would not start the bike after a full charge.

Having trouble with battery/bike combination. Installed in Suzuki DR400.
After riding long enough for the battery to recharge, apparently it is overcharging because bike display starts flashing and if shut off, nothing works - just like a blown main fuse but fuse is good. Unhook battery for a little while, hook it back up and everything works again. Am impressed with cranking power but not with the other. Bike never has done this before until this battery.

A: Yes, a normal charging system will charge these batteries. And no, we're not aware of any explosions! The batteries have circuitry inside that protects against overcharging and over-discharging.

Q: Electric motorcycle application
2 years 3 months ago
I have an electric motorcycle that uses 4-16AH Pb batteries connected in series, charged with a 48V 5A Pb charger. The motor is a 15000 watt Briggs and Stratton Etek. The controller is a programmable Alltrax golf cart controller, peak current up to 300A. Can these be used in an application like this with the same charger? What is the ah rating of these batteries?

A: I would recommend contacting battery tender directly for a recommendation on that type of application.
