If you ride a vulcan 900 you know it revs a little high on the interstate. This seemed to be the easiest and most affordable fix for the problem. So in only 2 days I received my new drive gear and in 45 minutes I had it installed. 2 positive changes to the bike are the speedometer is about accurate now tracked with a Garmin GPS and the revs drop pretty significantly on the highway. It doesn't make much change at all when pulling out in 1st gear, the bike has plenty of torque to pull the bigger gear. It looks like this change is about the same as the bigger wheel gear but at half the price. The only downside is there is a hard nylon belt guide inside the cover that keeps the belt from slapping the cover itself. With the new gear installed my belt rubbed the guide and made a weird noise. I took the cover back off and adjusted the guide as far up as possible and sanded a little off the nylon with a dremel and now we are good to go. This mod is well worth the time and money.

Installing this pulley wasn't very difficult and took me less than an hour from start to finish. Vibration has cut down quite a bit at the 60+ m.p.h. and so has the RPM's. I'm getting better fuel mileage it doesn't seem to bog the bike down at all. I'm very satisfied with it!!
I am very pleased with Motosport Pulley got here quicker than I thought
My vibration is gone @ 70 mph and my speedometer is right for the first time since I bought this bike. The pulley is made of steel and should last as long as I own this bike
After breaking down and buying this, I'm kicking myself for having waited so long. It fixed the disparity with the speedometer (now matches almost perfectly with GPS speed), upped my gas mileage by about 4 mpg, and keeps me from searching for that 6th gear - that isn't there on my Vulcan - when I reach highway speeds. I highly recommend it!
