Q: I am wanting a headlight system to fit a 2008 Honda CRF250r
1 year 9 months ago
I am wanting a headlight system to fit a 2008 Honda CRF250r. I am looking at the 'Baja Designs Enduro Lighting Kit Option 2' since it is an exact fit for my bike. I have a couple of questions. Bare with me, I am an electronics engineer and want to get it right the first time. LOL What additional parts are REQUIRED if I just purchase the 'Trail Tech Stator'? What additional parts are REQUIRED if I purchase 'Trail Tech DC Electrical System Kit'? What is the advantage of the additional flywheel with the 'Trail Tech DC Electrical System Kit With Flywheel'? Thanks in advance. Will

A: Yes this Baja Designs Enduro Lighting Kit Option 2 will work on your 2001 Yamaha YZ125 however Because your bike was not made to power lights, you will likely have to get a stator with higher output for lighting or have your OEM stator rewound to product more lighting output. To have your stator rewound for higher output I would contact ricky stator.

Q: What all is needed to run this on 1984 suzuki rm 250?
I have a stock 1984 RM 250 that has no battery. I am planning on putting a high output stator and regulator. How will this work with my bike or will it?

A: You will have to have a lighting stator, battery and regulator to run lights on a MX bike. Check with companies like Baja Designs, Trail Tech or Stealthy Offroad for a setup for your bike.

A: The Baja Designs Enduro Lighting Kit comes with everything pictured. You will have to have a way to power the lights (stator with lighting coil), voltage regulator and a battery to complete the installation.

A: Yes, for this kit to work on your 1997 Honda CR250, you will either need to have your stock stator re-wound to produce a higher output or purchase an after market stator that can produce enough power.

Q: What would it require to install on a 78 yamaha enduro
Over 4 years ago
For example, would it require a new stator etc..

A: Baja Designs Enduro Lighting Kit requires a bike that has a battery and charging system with enough current to adequately run the lights. You will have to check with the OEM specifications for the output on the lighting coil of your 1978 Yamaha to verify it will work. You will need a minimum of 65w output.

A: This kit would work for you 2007 Honda CRF250R. Since your bike did not come with lights you will more than likely need to have your stator rewound or purchase an aftermarket stator with higher output for lighting. I would recommend taking a look at the Trail Tech Stator for your bike.
