Great price and boots broke in fairly well on day one. Still a little stiff, but should be fine after the next ride.
Bought these for my son to use when we woods ride . He really likes them good support and still more flexible than any boot he has tried on at local dealers
Had tech 7 for years but after about ten years of riding it was long overdue. I only really ride single track and woods now so decided to give theses boots a try really like the grip on the bottom great boots no complaints
Just finished my first ride in these boots and they feel like my old favorites from the 80s. I had Alpinestars with metal plates as shin protection, back then the break in required soaking boots over night in water than wearing them for a day of pain. After that a few rides with miss shifts and missed break pedal close calls, than the boots began to feel good. These enduro boots felt better than that on first ride. Really liked the tread on the soles, saved me from falling on wet rocks.
I used once and one strap broke and the top of the boot is already showing wear on 1 ride. Called Alpinestars they said they will send me a new one.
one of the buckles broke on the very first ride
I decided to go with these Alpinestars because of the good reviews about comfort and durability. On the latter, I was concerned that some other boot brands seemed to break down on the inside right boot from kick-starting - and I ride a kick-start 4 four stroke.
I am a US 10.5 medium width in virtually all sneakers, shoes, and boots. From reviews, I discovered that these boots tend to be on the large size so I ordered a size 10 and they fit perfectly.
I just did 3 full-days of riding in these with zero blisters or other sore points. A couple of times I even had jeans folded up inside and had no trouble with comfort. The boots were immediately flexible enough to shift and brake comfortably yet they seem very rugged and protective.
Overall nice boots
Pinch point near the exterior of your ankles when new.
The pinch point seems to be getting better with wear
Really great boot for single track riding, has lots of grip on the bottom and very comfy.

Question:Q: Would you recommend these for someone with larger calves? My 15yo wears a 13 but we are having a hard time finding boots to fit his calves.Question asked 1 year 2 months ago
Question answered by DaveGearheadUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered 1 year 2 months agoAnswer: A: Without a measurement for his calves I cannot answer your question. Generally speaking, I would suggest trying the Gaerne brand boot, like the SG-10 if you continue to have issues. They are more likely to fit him.
